I found an interesting wee thread about Anderson the other day. Apologies, as I know some don’t like the use of xG and similar statistics but it did predict he’d score goals at this level.

Yeah that guy has been a fan of Bruce for years.

Bruce's problem is he isn't really a lone striker. Needs players in about him and we've never really played like that.

He'd be daft to come back if McInnes is still in charge.

Aye. Can't imagine he'll hang about to see if the new manager (if McInnes goes) fancies him either.

Just listened to Tony Docherty’s pre match interview from today. He said that he’d just found out that Kamberi has had online abuse. I haven’t seen anything else about it yet, but presume it’s from one, or more, of our “fans”? Just checked and nothing on the BBC Scotland Sports website. If this was a player from one of the “big two”, it would the headline story. I would like a bit of background on what has happened.

No, especially if he continues as he has for Hamilton. As you say the way Mcinnes plays he would never be starting regularly and would be ill suited to the formation if he did.

I think that is a bit unfair considering it may only be Kamberi and Aberdeen that know about it.

If they haven't given the details to the press, what could they run as a story?

It was the press interviewer that brought up the story with Tony Docherty.

Sorry, I misunderstood your post then. When you said that Docherty said he'd just found out Kamberi had been abused online, it sounded as though he was offering up the info rather than being asked about it.

Likewise.

Outstanding player. Vastly underrated.

Won’t ever be talked about as a legend but he’s been our most talented and skilful player of this era.

Watch a rerun of his goals, easy to forget how special some of them were.

Scored probably my favourite Dons goal over the past 5 years away to Hearts. Would be rude not to include it below.

Sorry, I can see that. When the press person asked the question about the story, Tony Docherty said that he had just been made aware of it. I would imagine he said that so he didn’t have to answer any specific questions.

I absolutely love the fact they've dampened the microphones at the Aberdeen end and have turned them up at the Hearts end so you can't hear any Aberdeen cheering and all you are left with is the sound of an angry Jambo who says the word f**k about 7 times in 10 seconds hahaha.

One of the Sky Sports journos said it wasn't an Aberdeen fan fwiw. Certainly use of the term 'A' instead of 'I' would suggest someone from the west coast...

ha the sound mixing on that is horrendous but actually makes it better.

It's someone wishing death on him through Instagram, apparently. There is no indication that it is from one of our fans.

Hibs are investigating to see whether it’s a ST holder at Easter Road.

NIall McGinn has been a fantastic player for us and, although we’re all entitled to our individual opinions, I will never understand any Dons fan saying otherwise. Probably my favourite player over the past 8 years or so.

Craig Brown's best move as Aberdeen manager was to sign Niall McGinn and Jonny Hayes. McGinn's 20 goals were pivotal in keeping us away from the relegation zone that season.
