We want to publically back ye Jim, but we're scared of the fans reaction so we'll need to get a hefty dig in as well. Either back the guy or sack him. HibeeJibee
This is like Fenlon not being sacked after Hibs 0-7 Malmo... a hallmark of a club which has degenerated from its prior stature. Previously it'd have been unthinkable not to have resigned or been dismissed.
mizfit
So, when are Aberdeen going to do an Everton?
Thenorthernlight
That’s me out until Goodwin is gone. Cormack has totally shat it & also completely misread the room.

starryfish
We currently have 5 players on loan to us - is there a maximum amount that a club is allowed to have? Wondering if this’ll affect comings and goings in forthcoming days
Renfrewblue
Much as I enjoy Aberdeen losing and their fans suffering this is even beyond my levels of cruelty. We're no sacking you the now Jim. But if you don't beat Hibs all bets are off! What a totally ridiculous statement. Have Rangers punted their statement team off to Pittodrie to help out?
scottsdad
As a neutral, that statement is a shocker. Not backing him, not sacking him. About to throw him under the bus but pulling him back at the last second. Leaves the fans, the manager and the club nowhere.

He might be given the weekend to redeem himself against Hibs - lets be honest its a great chance for 3 points for you. Afc69
Cormack is a clown, a complete clown. Guarantee he’s either now over the Atlantic, or in Heathrow ahead of a red eye flight tomorrow morning Edited January 25, 2023 by Afc69
HibeeJibee
Credit to Willie Garner btw. Last played for Dons over 40yrs ago... managed Craigroyston, Newtongrange, Harthill, Glenrothes, Tayport and Ballingry (folded 2014)... yet now the experience on "a Premiership football monitoring board"...
pozbaird
Really don’t know what to make of that Aberdeen statement. Glad that Jim still has a job, but that statement is a fcuking shocker. What did Aberdeen’s ‘football monitoring department’ initially do? Sit down with senior guys like Jonny Hayes & others, give them pieces of paper and a pen, and ask them to simply write ‘good guy’ or ‘w**k’? Ach well, at least Cormack’s statement means one thing. St Mirren’s ‘Sellik Shop’ debacle has a rival for tinpottery tomfoolery.

Funnily enough, the chairman who didn’t sack McGhee at that point is also on the “Football Monitoring Board”.

Not quite constructive dismissal but certainly a first step on the path towards it.
