The Famous Aberdeen - Season 2022/23

Im quite tragic so read the Coventry forums last Summer to find hints of whether we'd be signing Swanson. They all absolutely wanked themselves silly over Maddison, and there was numerous times he was apparently watched by scouts from Arsenal.

He sounds like a proper talent, tbf.

Now thats the type of player i was talking about going for earlier today.

Not a fan of the 6 month loan deal though (wish it was the season), think the guy will stroll it.

Strange one being he is very much an attacking miid and has a very slight build. Watched about 5/6 games the season he broke into the Coventry team, he was meant to be off to one of the Manchester clubs at the time. Amazed we have got him now tbh.

This boy maddison could be a great bit of business. Shame it's only til January.

Still haven't addressed the need for a tough tackling centre mid tho which will cost us ooints this season.

Shinnie will probably play in the centre most of the season alongside jack. Mclean will have to move deeper as well as Norwich won't be sending this boy to sit on the bench.

O'Connor.

Against most teams in the league at home I don't think we need both him and Jack sitting.

If it means Taylor/Morris need to up their game at centre back so O'Connor isn't needed there then so be it.

It's too early to pass judgment, but I am pleased with our transfer activities since the end of last season. Relative to the 2 or 3 windows prior, we have carried out some very promising business in recent months.

Despite the "tooling up" talk, we do have limited resources and a difficult corporate back drop. To expect every perceived weakness in the team to be tackled in one window is fantasy stuff.

We have managed to shuffle the pack and addressed a number of areas. With a bit of flexibility, some luck with injuries and form, i would argue Deek has covered the bases pretty well.
