He is an arse by dint of being pumped (twice) by a team led by our juniors' manager and being swayed by the speculation of the press and the message boards.   He has shown this week that he has found his level in organising taxis to various school pitches around Aberdeen.

McInnes needs us more than we need him.

Swayed by the message boards? You think he pops on to P&B every now and then when he has a career path decision to make? Because if he does, then his decision not to go to The Rangers makes complete sense. Considering the number of utter Rangers supporting trumpets on this board.

You do have an obsession with training pitches tonight.

If things had been conducted properly when your club ceased to exist your lot would be training in the Asda car park and merged with Benburb FC.

Shame the establishment changed the rules eh ?

Chris McLaughlin's twitter full of his usual *** fellatio this morning. Suggests they offered a million Blue Pounds and AFC knocked them back without, apparently, referral  to McInnes.

For the life of me, why would they knock them back without running it past McInnes?

Last thing AFC need is a disgruntled McInnes who feels he has been boxed in, however much fun it is hacking off the ***.

So presumably you’ll be starting a “McInnes Out” campaign, if “the arse” takes the job?

It's a statement. This will be done on our terms.

Fair enough, but shouldn't our terms include McInnes 'in the loop'?

ALTHOUGH...as I said, it is McLaughlin, so...y'know...

An offer was made to Aberdeen. It was rejected. Shouldn't have to run that by McInnes. The onus is maybe on McInnes to now make his position clear to Milne. If he wants to go to Rangers he needs to say so to Aberdeen. Something that has clearly not been done, and McInnes even went so far as to agree with Milne's comments of two weeks ago - an own goal for him there it seems.

If a bid came in for one of our players we wouldn't run it past them if we were going to reject it.

Mcinnes seeking consent to speak to Rangers, according to the bbc.

This can only end badly now. It looks as if Derek McInnes has burnt his bridges with us. Despite what some deluded fans say, overall he has been magnificent for us.

You'd expect the club to let the player know there had been an offer but it's your intention to reject it and explain your reasoning though? No?

McInnes isn't one of our players, though? He's meant to be part of the decision making management team, isn't he? And even then, as capt-oats suggests, we would let the player/manager know a bid has been made, wouldn't we?

He may just want to meet them to tell them to piss off. Or maybe not. We’ll see.

Chris McLaughlin is banned from Ibrox but his source is a person that worked for the BBC and now works in Rangers PR.

McInnes is away that is obvious but I think he will have to resign as I doubt Aberdeen will accept Rangers offer due to them messing us about.

Aberdeen fans will question McInnes integrity over the last 2 games and Rangers should never have allow that to happen.

When Sunderland came calling they proved they could pay the compensation and mcinnes was allowed to talk to them before rejecting the job.

the fact we have refused sevco permission to even open talks suggest they can't afford the compensation, sevco are trying to force dels hand and he may well be asking himself if he wants to work for such a shower of shit

It may be more nuanced than that. Sevco may have offered the right amount of money, but their offer is probably in staggered payments (say 200k a year for the next 4 years). This  may have then given Milne the wriggle room to turn them down, if the contract says that compensation has to be paid up front.

Basically it will end up with McInnes quitting and the clubs settling out of court.

Surely to f**k Milne and McInnes had a conversation about this prior to the public statement saying he was committed to Aberdeen?

"Derek, if Rangers come in for you, will you want to go? "

Someone has broken their word here.

What you say makes perfect logical sense.

However part of me thinks Milne maybe said that to kill the sevco interest, or force the issue. McInnes backing his comments up is what is pissing me off about this whole thing.
