Dundee United 2014/15 Season

Recommended Posts

£2.5 million is the negotiating price, £1.75 million plus add-ons isn't a bad deal. Armstrong can go on to bigger and better things and we can get part of the sell on..

Add to that both players pushing for a move and it becomes a no brainer. We all know that both of them have put in meh performances this season. Having them not turn up in the cup final would be sickening knowing that at least one of them would be going to Celtic.

The Dixon move is great for us. How many seasons have we had , at best, an unpredictable / erratic back 4? We now have a really decent line up back there, big pat is doing a great job beside pates, we have erskine to come back in, game changer Dow to cement his place, and all the young uns.

We also still have nadir.

Disappointed but not worried.

Gutted to lose them both, but we'd be lucky to see half that with Armstrong into his last year in the summer so no great shock. We probably don't need to sell anyone but we don't need unhappy players moping about the place either.

Surely, surely we had replacement(s) in the pipeline already as this was always likely. Disaster for our season otherwise.

Yeah we lost Russell for £750,000 because he only had 12 months on his contract. Arguably a far bigger player than Armstrong.

18 months does seem to be the last point at which you can get near full value for a player. I do think Armstrong is woefully underrated by many United fans. He will go on and do well, at Celtic and further. I'd expect him to get far more gametime then GMS at Celtic for a start.

If it doesn't and we lose Armstrong without a decent replacement the the rest of the season's going to be a long time.

Chillax GD. Bilate is going be like a brand new signing for us once we've finished putting his legs back together with superglue.
