topcat(The most tip top)
Didn't you get banned for joking about a fan dying at Kilmarnock v Hibs m9? Was it a variant on "don't you hate people who leave the match early"
Winston Churchill
No club will touch him with a barge pole, until he has 30/40 games under his belt (will he be the same player) that's twice he's had problems with the same knee. This could be a game of, who blinks first. He is out of contract in May/June. His birthday is in October and the club will then get nowt. What happens between, end of contract and his birthday? Do the club offer him another deal. He's already given the club the middle finger. Does he go on the dole at the end of his contract, and hope some club will take a punt. This could go tits up for him.
Austin McCann
This could work out well for Hearts. Signs a new contract comes back at the start of next season and is then sold on for his full value rather than just compensation.

RandomGuy.
The compensation applies until the end of next season * * According to someone on Kickback Having read about it, compensation is due in the season when they turn 23, so since its October next season when he hits that age, there should still be compensation due.

JamieThomas
If he won't sign a three year deal now, then dump him down to a career in the diddy leagues just like teenage party beast Cummings.

The Ginger Prince
Does that not only apply if he moves to another team in Scotland? That's what I've always thought, I don't know why Hearts fans get so excited regarding compensation when if he moves to another country they'll get next to nothing.

capt_oats
Does that not only apply if he moves to another team in Scotland? There's a loop hole for cross border transfers but that's negated as long as a contract offer is on the table 60 days (Article 6. Clause 3 of FIFA's guidelines) before the current deal expires. We got something like £210k for Ben Hall from Brighton and (I think) £350k from Leeds for Lee Erwin whose deals had expired. MFC exploited the loophole in signing Ben Heneghan in the last window, picked him up for free on a technicality. Sevco did the same with a couple of their signings as well. If that's not what the question is about then feel free to ignore me. Edit: Here's the FIFA rule. Article 6 1. Special provisions for the EU/EEA For players moving from one association to another inside the territory of the EU/EEA, the amount of training compensation payable shall be established based on the following: a) If the player moves from a lower to a higher category club, the calculation shall be based on the average training costs of the two clubs; b) If the player moves from a higher to a lower category, the calculation shall be based on the training costs of the lower- category club. Inside the EU/EEA, the final season of training may occur before the season of the player’s 21st birthday if it is established that the player completed his training before that time. If the former club does not offer the player a contract, no training compensation is payable unless the former club can justify that it is entitled to such compensation. The former club must offer the player a contract in writing via registered post at least 60 days before the expiry of his current contract. Such an offer shall furthermore be at least of an equivalent value to the current contract. This provision is without prejudice to the right to training compensation of the player’s previous club(s).

Your thoughts? After looking decent in his early games for us, he's been disappointing, and his finishing is really poor, so I wouldn't be too bothered or surprised to see him go.
