Thistle_do_nicely
Is this the best two-leg humiliation in Scottish football history? I'm really not seeing a comparison, even including Hibs. What a fantastic set of events. Malmo - Rangers was pretty funny, with Rangers going down to 9 men in the crucial 2nd leg and Steven Whittaker being a complete moron for his red card. edit: but yeah, in terms of how completely inept Celtic looked from back to front for virtually the entire 180 minutes, that takes some beating in the laughably terrible stakes. 54_and_counting
Anyone who has seen Celtic recently must realise that they are pish. Better than anyone else in Scotland but pish none the less. How many Celtic players could step up to a Champions League level team in any other country? Scott Brown and that's about it. You might say Van Dijk but it's impossible to say how good he really is playing in the SPFL. Fraser Forster is a decent goalkeeper but not a top class one and for all his goals Kris Common's isn't really any better than guys like Michael Higdon, Billy Mackay, Niall McGinn and others that have banged in 20+ goals a season at SPFL level. The rest of the 30 odd players Celtic have in their squad are over paid chancers for the most part. scott brown wouldnt get anywhere near a champions league team except celtic ffs, he's as bad if not worse than the current shower running about kicking anything that moves isnt champions league class

Unsure if we can count the many humiliations of a dead club tbh. Eintracht Frankfurt sticking 12 past them over two legs would need to be up there. This one is fucking funny though. Monkey Tennis
At this rate there won't be any places in europe for Scottish fitba in a couple of years. The winner of the SPL might be lucky and qualify for the Emirates Junior Cup! Won't happen. Nothing will worsen for other Scottish sides on the back of this. It will be worse for Celtic though. Oh happy day!
JamieStevenson
Why anyone would want Forster or Van Dijk after those performances I don't know. But if they are away then good luck to them as anything is better than playing for Ronny surely?
RandomGuy.
If Motherwell had beaten that part time group of fishermen, Celtic would've been the first Scottish club out of Europe

54_and_counting
If I was a ra Shellick fhan, surely the Europa League might actually present the chance of a proper run in Europe for a change. You still play decent sides, rather than just being pumped out in the Champions League group stages. you think that shower tonight are good enough for the europa league, legia are a europa league team at best and they just embarrassed the scottish champions
Diamonds are Forever
Scottish football really is utterly tragic, 3 of our biggest 4 clubs are slumming it in the lower leagues with Cowdenbeath and Alloa and our best team by a distance gets hammered by a bog standard Polish side. It's laughably bad.

Would any Celtic fan really feel all that confident of beating a reasonably good European team right now? Delia was tempting fate with all that "too good to play qualifiers" nonsense.
