FlyerTon
The move from Balado is due to HSE concerns over an oil pipeline underneath the site (The Forties Pipeline which carries North Sea oil to Grangemouth) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-28014959
Ira Gaines
It's not much of a difference, which I suppose is ideal for them. I was hoping for the Stirling move myself but at least it isn't a total joke of a move.
jamamafegan
It's still in #Perthshire, so that's all that matters.
rustyarabnuts
According to the reports it will give a greater scope for variation/placing of the stage set ups
Ira Gaines
I think the setup the last couple of years has been alright, apart from the Transmissions Stage feeling like it's a while away.

FlyerTon
Alternative route, for people coming in from the south west - A82 then turn right at Crianlarich on the A85 to Lochearnhead and then Crieff on A85. Looks like the busiest route will be A9 to Auchterarder.
Ira Gaines
T in the Park have dropped a wee hint that they'll be revealing something extremely soon. Seen efests hinting at the same thing as well. Maybe even as soon as tonight.
Ira Gaines
T in the Park WILL have an announcement of some sort tonight on the Zane Lowe. My guess is The Libertines. And maybe some undercard stuff.
Ira Gaines
The Libertines confirmed as the headliner. Nobody else.
1320Lichtie
The Libertines confirmed as the headliner. Nobody else. Never been to TITP and like the Libertines but it's a pretty shite headliner is it no
Ira Gaines
The Libertines shifted 30,000 tickets for their own show last year in London, so I'm not sure about that. Certainly they've played little enough gigs up this way to still be a big deal for a lot of folk.
throbber
I would go just to see the Libertines, probably too old a band for a lot of the 25 and under sadly!

Aye sort of what I'm getting at NDD. I like them (and have seen them) but it'll only really be the Indy kids that'll like them. Can't mind the last time I heard a song of theirs on the radio it's all full of pop shite. It's not went down well on my twitter feed particularly with the lassies
Fratelli
Seeing loads of folk on Twitter who have never heard of them. I don't know how to feel about it, i love them but i'm just not sure if they're up to headlining the festival

Ira Gaines
You can't really pay attention to Twitter. Especially with a band like this, who will likely take a lot of their own fans. T are looking for ticket shifters. This lot will shift tickets. It'll be a lesser version of when Rage Against the Machine played for the second time, and had a MAMMOTH fanbase up there, leading to a batshit mental headline showing. Probably one of the best headline shows in the festival's history.
throbber
Im pretty sure up the bracket was released in 2002 and then the libertines album in 2004, both absolutely brilliant and if you were a young gun in Glasgow (or anywhere probably but Glasgow was where i was) around bout that time they were massive, it was around about the time when mainstream and indie were becoming part in parcel and just before social media kicked off so it was a hell of a time to reminisce back to. Those were the days alright!
throbber
Yup, and the age when people start thinking maybe they are too old for music festivals!
