RiG
I caught some of the Partick v Celtic game on the radio on Friday evening and, as has been pointed out before, noticed that Bonner was completely unable to name a single Partick player when chipping in with his thoughts. On a penalty claim by Azeez Steven Thompson and Liam 'The Squeak' Macleod kept referring to Azeez. Bonner however kept saying things like "I think the Partick player has gone down a bit easily".
DA Baracus
Can't mind who said it today (might have been Gary Naysmith) but a classic load ot pish was rolled out earlier when he said that Hibs and Dundee United are Premiership clubs and "shouldn't be down 'there'" ('there' being the Championship).

This really pisses me off. Someone said it last week when hibs played at tannadice, according to them because there was 11000 at the game, and hibs have sold a lot of season tickets, neither of them should be in the championship. Never mind the fact this is hibs 3rd attempt at coming back up, and utd were so utterly shit last year they finished comfortably bottom.

I know what Gary Naysmith meant but the "premiership club" thing just doesn't exist anymore. only 2 of the top 6 clubs (the 6 being Aberdeen,Celtic, Dundee United, Hearts, Hibs & Rangers) have stayed in the league over the past 10 years...
HibeeJibee
I think I'm right there have only been 4 top-tier ever-present clubs since SPL was formed and 2 of those are Motherwell + Kilmarnock.
Nightmare
I wonder if there are English equivalents of these roasters who spend all their time on the air moaning about how clubs like Derby, Leeds, Forest or Sheff Wed shouldn't be where they are because they have much bigger attendances than Bournemouth or Hull.

I wouldn't imagine so. You'll probably find that journalists in England accept clubs like Leeds, Forest, Sheff Wed are where they are because they're shite. It's about how good you are in the present, not last season, the season before that, or indeed 20 years ago. Or how many season tickets you sell either. That's BBC Scotlands problem, the club's mentioned will have roasters on their local BBC radio station saying that, national journalists on 5live see the bigger picture. Sportsound struggles from trying to be a national broadcaster and failing.
Hammer Jag
Only in Scotland would 'big clubs' falling out of the top tier be seen as a negative. If the morons in the media had their way, the Premiership would be: Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, Dundee Utd and Dundee. No relegation.

Yes the top league should be Patrick, livi, Alloa, ayr, ibs, Morten, Inverness, Brechin, Falkirk, qots, Annan and cowerin. It would be the greatest league in the universe... -
