The BBC have not had their press credentials removed, please correct your post.

No correction needed. The truth is they have access to Ibrox to report matches but they have no access to interview players, management or staff as they banned Chris MacLaughlin the BBC chief reporter.

Not sure why Sevco fans feel the need to cover that up and try to make out this is a BBC issue. The BBC whilst I am farthest from their biggest fan, want to interview Warburton and others. But are sticking by their employee. As any good company would. Traynor and the board have imposed this access ban on Chris by saying he is not welcome at Ibrox. The BBC have said if he's not welcome no one from the BBC is. Seems logical. Sevco have thin skin & have spat the dummy. It's a stand off now.

So is the above wrong in any way or will you again tell us that this is also inaccurate?

Journalism would be entirely pointless if the editor/chief exec or whatever didn't back their employee in this kind of dispute.

If a journalist is censored from reporting fact on the basis of someone doesn't like it and the editor supports that censorship then the whole game is a bogey.

Here's another explanation in case the Herald article is too hard for the Sevco fans to read.

Clearly MacLaughlin and Spiers where banned or nicely put 'not welcome'. [emoji849]

n the latest example of a football club imposing petty bans on the media, the Scottish Championship outfit banned Chris McLaughlin along with Times and former Herald columnist Graham Spiers last week.

Had an involuntary laugh when I read that line. Great days.

As there are no Premiership games on today Sportsound have decided not to have Open All Mics. This despite the fact that they usually cover at least two Championship games each week on Open All Mics.

Pretty shite state of affairs, but the big team are on live commentary so that's a wee bonus.

Fucking hate this show now and the Beeb

There's 42 teams in this country!!!!! Fucking take an interest in the rest of us. Bringing up Le Guen etc wtf. The lower leagues are very interesting and IMO they're much more exciting and entertaining than our top league.

Just switched on Sportsound there, there discussing Cathro again. Fair enough if they were playing today or even later in the week, but for f**k's sake, talk about the games that are kicking off in 15 minutes.

According to Chic the dick, St Mirren need to start taking points from teams round about them like Falkirk. Thankfully Richard Gordon pulled him up about it, but it's an example of his complete lack of knowledge about any division that doesn't contain his true love.

Despite there being no Open All Mics, they have reporters, live, at all the other Championship games and two League 1 games. However they're only there, live remember, to give updates.

They might be interesting to you, but the vast majority of football fans in this country couldn't give a f**k about you & the folk like you though. They struggle to give a shit about more than 2 teams in Glasgow. It is shite, and it'd great if the coverage of the Championship at the very least was better, but it'd be hard to justify. You could never please everyone, cover more League 2 and you'll have County & Motherwell fans pissed that our clubs aren't getting more coverage too. The other problem is that the complete nuggets that BBC Scotland have on their programs struggle to sound knowledgeable about the team sitting 4th in the Premiership, so the quality of coverage of Edinburgh City & Peterhead would be utterly brutal. I'm not sure unless you totally change how Sportsound works that this would be at all viable.

If Pat Bonner was to cover as many games as possible, the quality of coverage would be the same for all matches.

The thing is he supports about 36 of those 42 teams

There's not a team or league in this country I'm not interested in. See when you venture into clubs threads on this forum and actually read what's going on its great.

Look at the bottom of league 2 right now, it's incredible. 6 teams, 5 on 21 points and bottom placed club on 19... Few clubs futures possibly at stake.

In league 1 there's 10 places, only FOUR don't mean something, it's a great league to be in.

In the championship you've got a club like St Mirren sitting bottom, the rest of the league tight aswell. 2 of the top 6 clubs in the country playing their football in the league.

And it all gets f**k all coverage. Not saying they should get hours every week. Just a decent bit of coverage every so often. Terrace podcast does this well. Have a listen to the Tell Him He's Pele podcasts. Interviews and goings on at the lower league clubs can be fascinating.

I also agree they should talk about County/Motherwell and the likes more. It's all why are Rangers so bad/when can Rangers challenge/Celtic are so good/how far can Rodgers take Celtic with the odd bit thrown in from Hearts and Aberdeen.

Total shite. Atleast Barton has completely fucked off now so they don't spend every night talking about him.

See even if there were really interesting things happening at the big clubs it wouldn't even be so bad. But them getting Ferguson to talk about Le Guen ffs it takes the piss.

Would it be more interesting hearing Ferguson talk about Clyde though? The problem, as much as anything, is the people they use as talking heads. Barry Ferguson is a fucking cretin and struggles to remember to walk & breathe and the same time.

I'd not be opposed to more lower league coverage, just have no faith that the people currently involved with Sportsound know enough about Scottish football to pull it off without it being pure car crash.

If this was really true you wouldn't spend so much of your time in the Premier Forum desperately looking for attention
