19QOS19
Liked him in Jurassic Park and The Great Escape, but other than that I haven't really watched his flims. Good age 90. In honesty I followed his brother's work more than his. Not 'saddened' by this as I was Robin Williams. Hope it was peaceful though, seemed a nice guy. MuckleMoo
Although sad I think I'm going to be able wake up tomorrow morning and get on with life. When his brother goes the sky is well and truly going to fall in!
Hillonearth
Sat next to him on a London-Glasgow flight years ago and got talking - seemed like a nice old guy. RIP.

Romeo
. When his brother goes the sky is well and truly going to fall in! My stupid son text me last night and said David Attenborough had died, Imagine my relief to find out he was wrong.
Swarley
My stupid son text me last night and said David Attenborough had died, Imagine my relief to find out he was wrong. We have an internal social media style app at work. This morning someone started a "Sir Richard Attenborough RIP" thread but used a photo of Sir David (rolling about with gorillas). After half a dozen sarcastic replies the OP eventually updated the photo....to one of David at an awards ceremony. How difficult is it to enter Richard Attenborough into a Google search?! Granny Danger
He was excellent in Brighton Rock, one of those books that came across well on film for its time. Must have been one of his earliest screen roles.
