Football fans are the devil! Well in Scotland we are according to Sturgeon, Swinney & Leitch.

Feel like it was a decision to force the postponement of the Old Firm game and to hell with the rest of us.

I was hopeful the Championship sides would vote to pause the season as well but that wasn’t to be. I seen the Celtic’s managers comments about playing in empty stadiums and it’s good to see someone at the top of the Scottish game echoing what many football fans think.

The form we are in at the moment keeping going was probably a good thing as you couldn't guarantee it would only be for 3 weeks plus all the midweek fixtures to add for us.

Saying that it would have been great to be at EEP on boxing day for another 3 0 win there and will probably have to watch one of the next home games on TV which is not ideal.

Everyone going round houses and into pubs to watch our game and all the other games yesterday too.. but science

Just like the pubs n clubs all being closed and house parties full to the brim kicking off over every town n city in the country last year and like they will be the next 3 weeks... but science

Taking in Leicester v Liverpool tomorrow night, there is restrictions of sorts, masks to be worn, but everyone is getting a beer and a mince pie

Couple of points from the post match interviews.

Mike McKenna mentioned that we’ve almost reached the points target for the season (notionally 40 is absolute safety). This focus on each game at a time remains sensible.  He did say that we could maybe relax a bit and also that we generally finish the season well.  Encouraging prospect maybe for the second half as long as the absence of creative tension doesn’t work the other way.

Also Pink made the point about how they always try and maintain, though longer contracts, a good nucleus of players implying that maybe some other clubs have too much turnover and this stability also helps the few new players coming in.  This large batch of contract renewals lately emphasises that.

Imagine the crowd we would have had in v Hamilton and if we had beat them and set up a top of the table clash v Inverness for a New Year game with no Prem games on too would’ve been pushing 2k. Mind we played Mo (who barely ever bring anyone) at New Year and had 1800 there in L2. This is once in a lifetime stuff this, might and probably won’t ever be in this position again. It’s so sad like. Thank you Nicola Sturgeon.

Season Ticket Ballot Update

Earlier today we began the process to dispatch the tickets for the Hamilton Accies match.

The first 100 tickets were dispatched when we were then informed the game was going to be postponed and we halted that process.

ALL Supporters who applied for the Hamilton Accies match as their 1st choice were successful as well as a number who applied for it as their second choice.

We will soon be emailing ALL supporters who picked the Inverness Caledonian Thistle match as their 1st choice.

The team are currently going through the ticketing process and tickets will be dispatched shortly.

The remaining tickets will be put to a second ballot for those who missed out on the Hamilton Accies match due to its cancellation as a second choice.

We are doing out very best to be fair and transparent and to give all our loyal supporters the chance to cheer on their team under the current restrictions.

Many thanks again for your support.

C'mon the Lichties

I think the people behind the scenes at the club deserve immense credit, for the last week or so with all the uncertainty but also the past year, a lot of these decisions won’t keep everyone happy but I think generally we get most of them right with the best intentions.

The amount of extra work involved at the moment must be a huge burden for those with commitments away from the club.

It’s obviously very disappointing the game has been called off tomorrow but barring a 5 or 6 goal swing for Caley or Raith tomorrow evening our wonderful club will be top of the cinch Championship on January 1st. Let that sink in

Our games off tomorrow.

Arbroath vs Inverness Caledonian Thistle - Ballot Results

The ticket ballot has now been completed and if you have been successful for the Inverness Caledonian Thistle match on Sunday 2nd January you will now have received your e-ticket by email. (Please remember to check your spam folder)

If you have been unsuccessful unfortunately you won't have received an email and we can only apologise.

With the postponement of the Hamilton Academical match at such short notice we drew a random ballot for the remaining tickets available.

This was the fairest way to allow as many of our fans who had entered the ballot the opportunity to attend the game.

We appreciate your consideration and understanding and please note all season ticket holders outside of England who are not in attendance can watch the whole match live on Arbroath FC TV.

We shall be sending out a reminder on how to watch Arbroath FC TV and doing a test event before Sunday.  Details to follow.

Thank you and C'mon the Lichties
