Jim McIntyre is a better manager than Neil McCann and McPake combined. Anyone who argues with that fact is the reason these platforms are so painful to read sometimes.
McIntyre's won more as a manager than these two clowns ever will.
His time at our club was poor but he didn't stand a chance with the absolutely woeful team he inherited and the fans on his back.
We had a stint where we looked good beating Hearts and Livi away and missing a last minute penalty to beat Killie at home. We took a big crowd to St Mirren and went ahead from Ethan Robson within a minute. The players on the pitch that day then didnt have the minerals which continued until the seasons end.
So easy to completely blame the manager and not look at any of the individuals that season.
McIntyres a w**k, I don't particularly like him, but Neil McCann and McPake simply arent football managers, McIntyre has been relatively successful.
Taking the length of tenures and margins of failure into account,  the blue tinted specs is the only reason people give McPake the edge.
Thank you.

Completely agree with all that.

Other than being a shite manager he comes over as thick as shit. Compare him to Jim Goodwin - well you can’t, no comparison. After the McCann fiasco we should never have taken a gamble on another rookie.
Lots of Dundee fans were wanting rid of McIntyre from the second he was appointed because he played for the DAB’s yet are prepared to give McPake a chance because he was a bang average player for us for 5 minutes.
In the interest of fairness though we need to remember he signed Martin Woods and the non striking striker from the DABS but owing to the timing of it all his options were fairly limited.

It was such a bizarre appointment that made no sense whatsoever.  Not least because Ross County wanted nothing more to do with him but Nelms thought that was exactly the sort of manager he wanted at Dens.

Utterly bizarre decision making by Nelms.  To make matters worse Nelms claims he asked many Dundee minded people if they thought there would be any issue with the appointment of McIntyre and Dodds and supposedly none of them raised any concerns.  If true, just who are these Dundee minded people Nelms puts so much faith in?

You could criticise McPake's coaching and managerial abilities all you want, and about most things you'd be right, but you can't pretend he doesn't care about the club.

Worth remembering he signed Sean Mackie last season so Hibs could free up a wage to make a signing, a stunt that by all accounts was almost pulled yet again last month.

Aye, that's why he signed Sean Mackie and is unfortunately chasing him on a PCA as well and not because Jordan Marshall is our only LB.

What a lot of nonsense.

McPake is an easy target because he's an utterly shit manager. Literally the only thing going for him is that he loves Dundee.

Shock as football club loans out fringe player with no future at their club to free up some wages to go towards bringing in a first team player.

McPake might be an idiot but what would be the benefit to him in doing that?

The Hibs connection.

It's still a case of 2+2=5 though.

Made a 'Snow-Hamilton' here he is, away to save a penalty.

When it gets warmer it'll be quicker on the way down than Hamilton.

Is that two bodies underneath the head or are you just going for the granny danger effect.

Thank you.
