Sergeant Wilson
Messi is about 5'7 and Maradonna was 5'5 I assumed Suarez was the same size as Messi but he must be about 5'9, an observation i made during the champions league entrance tune He's 5'11"...go to the pub throbber.
throbber
He's 5'11"...go to the pub throbber. I always thought of him as pretty small. Im going out to the park for a while with Mrs Throbber, she might want a wee beer when we're out! X

Pete's Frontier
I've seen Messi up close and he's the best player I've seen on a pitch. I like Ronnie also, saw him plenty times at OT and he is outstanding, but with Messi you have somebody that is beyond the ability of anybody in the games history. The only black mark is the lack of WC which he might have one last chance at in 2018.
Miguel Sanchez
Messi isn't the player for the big occasion and once again the occasion got the better of him. He was anonymous last night just like he was in the World Cup Final and the 2009/11 Champions league finals
54_and_counting
But if you watch the game, he had influence on most attacks, from inside his own half onwards therefore he wasn't anonymous. you could say the barca defence and keeper had the most influence then given every single attack would likely have started with them

Honest_Man#1
I think the saints poster may well have taken the angriest poster on P&B award off of DA Baracus. -
cyderspaceman
How about this for an imaginary game. A team of Messis v a team of Ronaldos? Who would triumph? I prefer Messi as a player but I think Team Ronaldo would win. Taller defence.
Fraser Fyvie
How about this for an imaginary game. A team of Messis v a team of Ronaldos? Who would triumph? I prefer Messi as a player but I think Team Ronaldo would win. Taller defence. The Ronaldos wouldn't be able to get the ball off the Messis

I prefer Messi as a player but I think Team Ronaldo would win. Taller defence. Obviously a team of Messis would win it quite easily. The Ronaldos wouldn't pass to each other and they'd get angry and fight amongst themselves when one of the other Ronaldos managed to score a goal.
The Real Saints
The question isn't, ''Who is the better player: Messi or Ronaldo?''. The question is, ''Is Messi the best player of ALL-TIME?''.
Honest_Man#1
You have entirely mistaken the tone of my posts, much like you did with the Hibs supporter in the top 20 clubs thread yesterday. I'm not actually angry that somebody thinks Messi is as dreamy as Ronaldo, just disappointed. Hope this clears things up for you. I've seen your posts in the gambling forum, you are quite clearly seething in almost all of them. -
The Real Saints
Not on this thread if you refer back to the OP. I meant that this is what the question should be. Ronaldo is a classless individual who shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as the great Lionel Messi.
Benjamin_Nevis
I think the saints poster may well have taken the angriest poster on P&B award off of DA Baracus. I fear you're mistaken. He's trying to take Supras's place as Misc Football's resident bore. Doing it fairly well tbh.
Miguel Sanchez
Nobody to track back in team Messi. Standing with his hands on his hips watching Ronaldo run past him. Too small for the sticks and all. It's stunning you're still getting bites with bait this mundane.
Airdrie Onions
Who'd be funner on a night out though? I reckon Messi, think Ronaldo would be too busy away pulling supermodels. Messi would be up for more banter imo
Miguel Sanchez
Messi doesn't track back, and nor should he. That's pretty factual.Whereas Cristiano is famed for his defensive prowess and team-first attitude.
