DA Baracus
Looking like an awkward borefest with just me and my parents. No presents shall be given again. Last year a friend gave me a bottle of beer. That was my only gift. I got my parents tickets for Scotland/France at Murrayfield. They got me a card. But they also fucked off to my younger brother's in Southampton. I was going to just sit in alone but my friend invited me round to his which was decent. I used to love Christmas but when it's just me and my parents it's boring and not worth the effort. We used to have both my brothers, some family friends and often one of my grans (although the options are now very limited given that one died a couple of months ago) but my parents have managed to pretty much alienate them all. Thinking of bumping it at the moment. Can't be bothered with it. Think it'll just make me feel shit.

It's the run up to it that annoys me. Can't stand going to work in the dark and coming home when it's dark, can't stand people bragging that they've got their Christmas shopping finished and it's not even October, and I cannot be fucked seeing Christmas trees up at the start of November. The one at our reception has been up since last week FFS. We're going over to my sister's house this year, her husband is a pretty decent cook so looking forward to a slap up meal, then heading home for a few ales and some rubbish telly. Believe The Hype
I love Stop the Cavalry, but it wasn't even supposed to be a Christmas song. They just stuck a couple of sleigh bells in and changed one line to mention Christmas. Bang. It's a Christmas song. Same with East 17 - Stay, not one mention about Christmas in the song, add a couple of bells, dress them in white and have fake snow fall on them in the video and Bang. Its a Christmas song. Can't wait for Christmas this year. Me and the ex broke up last summer and l was punted out back to my mums. She had my wee boy for Christmas last year while it was just me and my mum and dad which was depressing. But this year its my turn to have him and most of my family are coming round as well so should be a belter.
mizfit
Just had the usual lecture asking me what I want from my mother, then being reminded not too much as I'm 23. I tell her to buy me a polo, 2 DVDs some aftershave and assasins creed rogue or far cry 4. She's went mental telling me that's not enough and asked me what else I want :blink
Monster
I'm worried that because of the John Lewis advert someone will buy me a live penguin this year. I've only just finished community service. Damned sexy penguins.

I quite like being at my unoffical in-laws for Christmas. They have a raging coal fire.

This could turn into a tasty story if it turns out you have official in-laws as well.

JamieStevenson
We don't normally do anything for Christmas. Like no tree, no decorations, very few presents etc. But now my sister has a little one I imagine we'll start getting back into it as they'll be coming round to ours for it. I'm all about the food tbh. Looking forward to that at least!
