January Transfers 2015

This from the guy who, when presented with facts, rejected the assertion that Billy McKay had found a rich vein of form.

You choose to ignore facts.

This isn't about Billy McKay, this is about Tade, please stop deflecting. Others have said goals aren't everything, which they aren't, but you chose the argument that you'd take a 9-goal a season striker which made him not shite, and also, his average a season in the league is 6.5, which in Scottish Premiership terms is pretty poor.

There was no points made. Nizzy said Morgan, Ngoo and Ball are shite, with no back up.

There were heaps of points made on a number of posts from a number of posters.

I'm not talking about your wee tiff with Nizzy, I'm talking about whether or not Tade is shite.

You'd certainly need a goalscorer to play off him, but I reckon he'd have a role to play for most teams in the league. Fair enough to disagree, but (for whatever reason) I thought it worth backing up those who do agree.

Tade would be there to play alongside Wotherspoon, O'Halloran and Maclean, or to replace one of them of the bench depending on what happens with Croft. He would create space and hopefully opportunities for the more skilled players to take advantage of, as well as simply terrifying the leagues weaker (physically) defenders and harrying them into mistakes, which he's great at. Even if our whole attack is in form I'd rather bring Tade on as a sub than Brian Graham.

No deflection here. Tade scored nine league goals in a full season with Inverness. He then went on to score five in a St. Johnstone side that beat the champions on their way to qualifying for Europe.

Fans of that club believe he'd have scored more if he'd played centrally. They'd take him back, as would fans of your own club.

Facts.

Anybody that genuinely think Tade is good needs their head checked, I wasn't aware anybody would even call him remotely good. To finish up the top end of the league (bar Celtic), you need to score 50-60 goals usually, to have a striker that scores only 4 (in the league) and has 6 assists is not good enough. You speak about causing defences problems, which Tade does, but so does Ngoo, they are a similar build and Ngoo managed to combine that with scoring the same amount as Tade did (in all comps) in just half a season, with a struggling side. If Ngoo is shite then so is Tade.

Nobody in that team made it to double figures btw.

Fans of our club wouldn't. St Johnstone fans may but our fans wouldn't. We may not have the best striker right now but he is far far better than Tade. He played centrally for us and scored 9. In his porrest season at the club McKay has already scored 8 or 9. You are making up things again, 13 in 2 seasons is not a good return. Fact.

 Where do you get the 6.5 league average from? Considering he scored 9 league goals for Caley and then 3 league goals for Saints. Even if you're counting all competitions it doesn't come to 13, it comes to 14

He's scored 4 league for Saints. 4+9 over 2 is quite clearly 6.5. 9+4 in the league is 13, never mentioned all competitions.

No but you had 3 strikers with more goals and 1 midfielder.

No we never. It was 3 midfielders and two forwards. Do you actually know what you're on about?

He had 5 in all competitions. One in the Europa League, one in the Cup, and....
