Very reliable sources have said that Locke is on garden leave and a new manager is here on a caretaker basis. The smart money is on McCall but that part is still unsubstantiated.

Can't say that McCall would be a dream appointment, but I've had dogs with more tactical awareness than Locke. If he could keep us up, then we could either give him a longer deal or at least have a premiership job to offer any interested parties. A championship team playing in what would be a ninety per cent empty stadium is nobody's idea of a dream job.

A few people are now saying that the whole McCall thing is nonsense and Locke is still in charge. As per usual the noise coming out of RP is deafening.

If the story was utter shite then why would Killie comment on it?

Do you expect a daily statement saying "Gary Locke is still our manager. K thanks bai."?
