thisGRAEME
So is he getting capped for Spain or not?
Gordopolis
Bit of an underwhelming move but not a terrible one. At least now we'll get some idea of where he really stands in terms of ability.
Tommy Nooka
Does seem as though this was Harpers decision, obviously wasn't happy potentially being back up to the reserve side. Credit to the lad for trying to get some first team football http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jul/23/jack-harper-real-madrid-brighton
SJ1210
No one said he was. No but they did say the next Robin Van Persie

banana
Brighton is still pretty close to Spain tbf. The boy clearly doesn't fancy Britain or the British weather, eh? Interested to see how he gets on on a blustery December night in Rochdale.
OFFS DUNDEE!!
He's going to miss Pre Season training with his new team. This will be a huge barrier, perhaps we won't hear much of him really until the season after next? Hopefully I'm wrong.
nsr
19 seems awfully old to have not played in the first team.
Savage Henry
Jess Feruz Harper Gauld? Not sure Jess belongs in that list. Charlie Miller maybe, or that other fat guy who was shite for old Rangers, yes, but Jess had a decent career. Lots of revisionism about Feruz though. Faddy88
19 seems awfully old to have not played in the first team. Not when that first team is Real Madrid. We'll see how Brighton use him to get a better gauge of how good the lad is. The highlight reels look like he's a player, but the opposition is mostly of a poor standard. Also it seems RM were keen to keep him, but he wanted to leave, presumably for first team football
BuddieInDundee
19 seems awfully old to have not played in the first team. How many 19 year olds have played in the RM first team last season? Not many I would imagine.
welshbairn
19 seems awfully old to have not played in the first team. Hasn't even had a game for the reserves. If he stayed they were going to punt him out on loan.
DigOutYourSoul
Hasn't even had a game for the reserves. If he stayed they were going to punt him out on loan. Even in the Castilla squad there's only 4 or 5 players younger than Harper. One of the them is Odegaard who is clearly considered one of the best young players in the world. Seems to me Madrid wanted to keep him but told him he'd be loaned out for at least 1 season until he was ready for Castilla. I think it's probably the right move for him - provided that Brighton have given him a reasonable expectation of first team football.
