Terrific news regarding Man Utd. Now hope they fall away in the league race, too. 5th would be lovely and another £250m to be wasted.

After going out of the Europa League at the first stage to some eastern European mob because "the league is our priority."

On a slight tangent - got to wonder whether there's concerns in the future for Arsenal potentially doing a Man Utd once Wenger goes and struggling heavily to meet expectations. Wenger's had his criticism for lack of silverware but Utd are showing that you can't just spend your way through any adjustment period after a long-standing manager goes (albeit Sir Alex is vastly more successful than Wenger), certainly not anymore.

I still thought they would pull it off one way or another last night and they played well - over all though in the group and in the league they are just stinking now and he needs to go. 2 wins and two draws from that group is laughable.

Should just keep Giggs as an interim manager until another Klopp becomes available.

The only decision they have to make is whether to sack Van Gaal and get Ancelotti now, or wait until the end of the season with the risk that Ancelotti ends up at Bayern Munich in the summer instead.

Where's Pep going like?

Just to be clear.. head to head is the first way of sorting group positions if teams are level on points or goal difference? Am I right in thinking that in group G Dynamo only need a win to be guaranteed second regardless of the Chelsea-Porto result (win for either side will be enough if Dynamo win and a draw will have all three with 11 points with Dynamo a better head to head against Porto therefore piping them to second). Porto and Dynamo have +3 so a Porto draw/Dynamo win should put them through regardless if HvH or GD.

Of course the ideal scenario is a Porto and Dynamo win, thus pumping Chelsea into the Europa League despite being top on the last day.

Aye, Kiev just need to win to guarantee qualification.
