#Gary
The sole reason we are even here still talking about Greenock Morton today. Most certainly someone who will never be forgotten. RIP Dougie
Stevie Aitken's Love Child
RIP Dougie. Saved our club when it was on it's knees and will never ever be forgotten for it. My thoughts go out to the Rae family.
third lanark
He always came across as a total gent in his interviews and clearly had a great passion for his beloved Morton RIP dougie - thoughts go to his friends and family at this sad time
djchapsticks
Sad news. Legend is bandied about easily and you can't please all the people all the time as was evidenced in Douglas Rae's last couple of seasons. Douglas Rae is an absolute Morton legend though. The man who stopped Hugh Scott shutting up shop and really, that's what his legacy will be. Rest easy. Colkitto
Eternally grateful to Douglas Rae for saving our club. He will never be forgotten. Without doubt an end of an era for Morton Football club.

Rudolph Hucker
Douglas Rae did more good for Morton this century than anyone else has. He put a lot of time, effort and money into the club, and while his decisions did not always work out for the best they were always made with the best of intentions. A very sad day for the Rae family and for Morton supporters everywhere.
IainMorton
I hope the club will arrange something for the first cup or league home match to honour him.

I don't think this is the place for the debate but that's not what I've heard. Irrelevant anyway, he looks a find so I'm quite happy.

Aye. I'm still baffled why we let him go.
madton
Would be an excellent signing for Ayr. As Iain says, we all fully expected him to get a better gig than Ayr and we were pretty gutted to see him released( as much as the players we have brought in so far in his position are promising) Will be a great player for you.
