SANTAN
Now let's talk about the historic "teuchter" abuse fuelled by the hate speech enthusiast Limmy, people with "that accent" up and down the country have suffered more jovial ribbings than anyone else on these isles. Dawson Park Boy
Question for the Dundonians on here. There used to be an entertainer from Dundee, I think, who could take you round Scotland with all the regional accents. He was brilliant. I think his first name was George? Probably died about 20years ago.

I don't even have an accent, I left Leeds at the age of 2 so thankfully managed to avoid any trace of the accent. 17 minutes ago, TAFKAM said: ?? who's calling someone from Edinburgh or Galashiels or Perth (this last one is a debatable one) a teuchter? Silly weegies. I used to see it a lot on rangers media back in the day, at first I thought it meant highland folk but then ending up thinking it meant anyone outside of Glasgow. Ah divnt ken anymore tbqh. Edited July 3, 2021 by Stormzy

I am reluctant to venture into the thickets of regionalism , particularly Scottish, but the recent controversy over Brexit Welsh V Aussie Lamb comes to mind. In a Scottish context I understand the description refers to Aberdonians and those further north or is that considered racialist. Pass it and forget about it until the next year just like most of the other garbage ‘tick box, cover the organisations arse’ mandatory online courses we do like IT Security Awareness and GDPR.
