The Terrible Journalism & Tom English Thread

I saw Rangers fans saying Hayes couldn't be any better than average cause he's never played well against Celtic. I can think of two screamers he's scored at Pittodrie against them in recent years in games they won. The delusion is incredible.

He also scored a raker against the old rangers too

One of them is a player on loan from Celtic, so that doesn't count.

But yeah, Bonner knowing the name of one (non-Celtic-affiliated) player in a Killie v Accies game is a major surprise.

Bein Sports showing the goals from Albion Rovers - Celtic during half time of the Chelsea - Hull game.  Malky Mackay confidently announces that Rovers are playing on Hamilton's all weather surface.

Just as well he doesn't have a job requiring a degree of familiarity with Scottish football, then.

Fairly sure I heard Liam Mcleod remarking on how Andraz Struna, who joined from Greek side Giannina, hadn't "played a single minute" for them this season. Might have something to do with the fact he left them last June, Liam.

These were published in the last week about Oliver Burke.

Daily Mail - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4130380/Oliver-Burke-finding-feet-RB-Leipzig.html

Daily Record - http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/oliver-burke-targeted-crystal-palace-9670831

One goes into great detail about the work he is doing in Germany with an interview with him including how he is working on the language barrier and how he hopes to develop his game to get into the team.

One sees that Middlesborough and Palace are struggling and need an attacking player so link the guy that scored against Rangers recently.

Of course, the Record piece complete with absolutely zero quotes.

Someone clearly hadn't written his quota for the day on Friday so just threw that together at half 4 so he could get out the door at 5.

BBC have Mackenzie scoring our 2nd goal when it was clearly Jack Baird, they don't look anything like each other. Baird is number 15, Mackenzie is number 6 not even as if they have similiar numbers.

Chick Young was convinced it was MacKenzie on the radio. The rest were telling him it was Baird but he was having none of it.
