John Lambies Doos
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Yes, suggesting that Mendy might be world class is utterly ridiculous.
1320Lichtie
Yes, suggesting that Mendy might be world class is utterly ridiculous. 23 years old, won the French league already, caps for one of the best international teams in the world and their future starter, brilliant for Monaco when they got to the semi finals of the Champions League and cost Manchester City 52 million pounds. Surely if it’s utterly ridiculous to suggest that one day he might be world class then the conversation about Robertson should just stop right now?
kenny131
Well we can say andy roberston is now a world class player klopp has taken him to the next level superb player. If Tierney wants to get into the scotland team then he needs to change position from left back as he wont be getting a sniff of it unless roberston is injured Edited April 21, 2018 by kenny131

ONeils40yarder
'World Class' is defined in the Cambridge English Disctionary as, '...one of the best that there are of that type in the World'. The way Robertson has been playing since breaking into the Liverpool team, if he isn't World Class, then he isn't a boot in the balls off it.

John Lambies Doos
It's fair to conclude that Robertson currently based on his performances is one of worlds top 5 Left backs

Bing.McCrosby
If robertson scores a hattrick in the final, he is finally world class. But it has to be left foot, right foot, header. In that order

I don’t see why he can’ play wide left for Scotland. Some people say he can’t receive the ball on the half turn, but i think that’s nonsense.

He's a left back and is 1 of the world's best why would we need to move him wide left.....is that to shoe horn in Tierney. Not for me roberston is head and shoulders above Tierney who is coasting it at spl level the kid needs to move to a better league to improve or he will just suffer his yearly roastings in europe with celtic.

Agree with all that, but it would allow our 2 best players to play. And get our best player further forward. The link up play between the 2 of them down one side would be excellent. And out the 2 of them you would rather see robertson forward
