Elixir
Just hope he's 100% fit. If he is, he's just as big a favourite as Federer IMO.
Nightmare
The odds are suggesting Zverev has a better chance right now. Nonsense, imo, but we'll see.
Sooky
As a casual (just grand slams) tennis viewer, the fact his first round opponent is called Tennys amuses me greatly.

Elixir
That'll surely be him for the year, which is fair enough. Hopefully this injury can heal properly in time for Australia which is still four and a half months away. Surely that will be the plan.

throbber
Has there ever been a grand slam with so many top players missing? Also does this mean that a federer nadal final is possible now?
Acastus
Shame Murray's pulled out but I was surprised he hadn't done it beforehand to be honest. Best to try recover for next season.

Also does this mean that a federer nadal final is possible now? Nope. Cilic takes Murrays route now. Fed v Nadal still scheduled to meet in semis. If Murray had pulled out pre draw then, yes Nad v Fed would be seeded 1 and 2 and would be scheduled to meet in final

Would like to see Zverev do well here but think Roger will stroll it.
peasy23
Murray's press conference is on the BBC Sport website, he's obviously heart broken to be missing this.
Nightmare
Can't see the hype about Zverev yet. He was favoured over Murray even when Murray was still in the draw, which made no sense to me, even accounting Murray's situation. The guy has won something like ten Bo5 matches in his career, including Davis Cup matches. Expecting him to win seven in a fortnight seems like a pretty big step for him.

Agree; can't see past Roger either... unless Mcgregor takes a wild card
Elixir
That's Murray confirmed he's patching the rest of the season and will play in Brisbane before the Australian Open next year. Still no mention of surgery. Hopefully he fully recovers in the next four months and can enjoy the sort of resurgence that Federer and Nadal have had.
