I thought that the money was 15% for the hosts and the remainder split 50/50.  Where did you get the information that it was split amongst the SPFL?

The roolzs say:

The SFA shall retain 10% of the balance, after payment of the expenses of the match and the clubs’ guarantees. The remainder, after payment of the rental for the use of the ground, the scale of which shall be determined by the Board, shall be divided, equally, between the competing clubs.

Income to include ticket sales, media deals and special advertising.

You can read the PDF of the rules if you really want to:

Are you sure this is the SPFL Challenge cup rules?  I don't think they are, these rules would appear to be more akin to the Scottish Cup.

Indeed.  I made a c**t of that.  The Challenge Cup rules are pretty similar though:

In the Final Round of the Competition, after paying match expenses, 5% of the net receipts will be deducted by the Company and the sum of £5,000 or 10% of the remaining balance, whichever is the greater, will be deducted and paid to the Club providing the neutral venue. The remaining receipts shall be divided equally between the two competing Clubs. The allowance to be paid to the Club providing the neutral venue shall be calculated on the entire receipts for the

Stands, Enclosures and Ground Admissions after providing for the aforementioned deductions so far as is applicable to such ground.

Well spotted, Sherlock.

Well spotted, Sherlock.

I had come across that previously and initially assumed the same until I noticed that it was the SFA.

It terms of gate money then, our blue cousins will be seeing us OK then. ;)

Sure that there was something about it during oor final with Raith but I'm guessing you've researched it.

Not really.  Are you not getting mixed up with the play-offs last year when I seem to remember that the clubs not taking part were still making money from it?

Just going on memory here and TBH, it is failing rapidly so if someone could correct me or confirm it would be appreciated.

Hey everyone. I have a spare match ticket and supporters bus ticket (leaving Balmoor 9.15) for this due to a last minute cancellation. Happy to listen to offers as I would rather someone got the good of it.

eta - in the Peterhead end before there are any jokes.

Indeed, Rab. I reckon Warburton is a bit of a ruthless b*****d on the sly (not a bad trait) and will want to win this yin.

Aye mate, there's no way he'll be taking them lightly either, they've had a decent season and clearly have goals across their side despite losing their last two? Reckon he'll want us out of the traps pronto. Looking forward to it.
