AsimButtHitsASix
I have just been introduced to Dungeons and Daddies. Despite my initial disappointment it wasn't a homosexual BDSM podcast I found it surprisingly funny. Story is: three guys and a girl play Dungeons and Dragons but, rather than play as wizards and orcs and elves, they play as kinda sad, pathetic stereotypical middle class dads who have been transported into a fantasy world. Everyone involved is a stand up comic and there's a few belting one liners. Funniest podcast I've heard aside from Athletico Mince.
Dee Man
HUNTING WARHEAD A brilliant 6 part CBC podcast about0 a couple of Danish investigative journalists investigation into "child pornography", (labelled in one of the episodes as a terrible turn of phrase when it should actually be termed as online child sexual abuse). Without giving too much away it's a fascinating insight into how a few owners and users of sites on the dark web were tracked down. I thought I wouldn't have been able to stomach it but it doesn't get into too much graphic detail apart from a few WTF moments. Couldn't stop listening, highly recommended. Brilliant but what a fucking shocker of a story.
Archie McSquackle
I often listen to podcasts and think their advertisers are seriously misjudging how often I need to hire staff for things.I was really thrown by the ads on The Terrace podcast about not being loyal to paramilitaries who kneecap people. Bizarre stuff. And someone mentioned the Gordon Smart interview with Simon Ferry. I'd never heard of him but it was really entertaining and well worth a listen- loads of bonkers stories.

Not listened to him in ages, but he did a couple with Steve O from Jackass which were pretty good. He seems like hes stuck around Yes men constantly, people too intimidated to disagree with him, which is why he probably cant accept other peoples views. I used to listen to his podcast consistently but I can't really hack it anymore. Theres only so much someone can listen to about elk meat, CBD oil and how comedians are the best thing since sliced bread.

He would try being a bit of a Devil's Advocate but as soon as anything that, at first glance, seemed like a logical argument was presented he flip flopped far too easily and just accepted it when any sort of actual questioning would rip the argument to shreds. I've only listened to a few episodes right enough

Anytime hes got one of his comic/MMA/Hollywood friends on it tends to be just his opinion or get fucked.

Yeh Dan Carlin's histories are amazing. His episodes on ww1 and the series on the Persians were superb.

Also check out his profits of doom episode. Scary how really not that long ago Europe was chock full of pure nutter religious freaks. These dudes (and Scotland had is fair share during reformation times and later) would put the absolute fear into amateur religious sadists like modern day IS or the Taliban.
Tartan Dave
After me bumming up Conflicted’s first series. Not been too impressed by the second. Far too soft on China, so much so I switched off half way through

Aimen starts the China episode with a disclaimer saying he has business interests in China so he clearly has no intention of sticking the boot in. He also gets his information on what is going on in China directly from Chinese officials so I think those versions of events can be chucked straight in the bin.

Aimen is quite clearly, and quite openly, a slippery character. You'd have to be to have lived his life. But it means you always have to read between the lines with what he's saying. The China edition would have been better with someone with else doing it, or at least another voice present. It was basically a waste of time edition of what is a pretty good podcast.
Tartan Dave
“Pub quiz super genius” is worth a follow. The guy doesn’t have the best voice for a quizmaster but it is still pretty good. Under 10 mins and a decent broad quiz each day. Good in an office after popmaster or whatever
