So it’s nothing to do with the billions in funding provided whatsoever? Interesting take if so.

That's set against a backdrop of perhaps not taking everything the western world says at face value based on anything from colonialism to dissolving Lumumba in acid. BBC leading with a drop in the majority, this is totally down to a drop in turnout. The Guardian talking about a swing to Labour. The share of the SNP vote actually rose by 1.4% compared to the GE.

Im pretty sure said word happened yesterday, the words from the Chief Supt ‘taken the operational decision to release the men’, thats pretty much as big a ‘telt’ as youre ever going to see from the police. Allegedly the home office were absolutely raging. One day maybe a book with an account of everything that happened that day will be written.

Where folk realised that you can take to the streets and make a difference, ans if you do it properly and peacufully, you will be heard.

I'm pleased the Scottish government sent a strong message that the " hostile environment " ( fuckin mon then look at us acting the hard man, no surrender! - bull in a china shop) approach to immigration law enforcement, is not wanted in Scotland. smashing someone's door in at 5 am, like you would with knows violent drug dealers , is a massively inappropriate use of force for such an alleged visa overstay or unsuccessful asylum application . it is nothing but pandering to the lowest in our society

Lurkst
Listening to the Pollokshields incident being discussed on Jeremy Vine and the gammon was sizzling. Lots of comments trying to frame it as the SNP whipping up Scotland v England divisions. Fair play to the protester from Maryhill who called in, although she was clearly opposed to independence she emphasised that it had absolutely nothing to do with that.

A bit like that fox killer down south who has ended up doing some really good work on covid contract corruption. Name recognition helps with cut-through. No matter what topic is being discussed Jezza or AN Other have to offer an often insanely contrarian viewpoint for the sake of balance.
