That's the problem. There is no one to replace him. Owen Smith and Angela Eagle were challengers ffs. In Scotland they've even elevated Dugdale to manager. I can think of no one with gravitas, ability or presence in the PLP. Replacing Corbyn with another joke seems pretty pointless.

Hilary Benn ?

I think a large proportion of the PLP and grass root members would be supportive if he was the leader.

Never know, there could be trouble ahead for Corbyn if he (Benn) is deselected from his Leeds seat.

Dear god, no.  The membership isn't going to swing from Corbyn to someone to the right of Blair.

If he is deselected, I could see the moderate labour members with the help of the PLP come together and force a change.

I'd imagine a lot of grass root members are tired of the number of loonies in Momentum.

And lets be realistic here, with the current regime in charge there is not going to be a Labour government in the foreseeable.

People who should be nowhere near a supposedly left-of-centre political party.

So where do run of the mill working / middle class voters belong?

Are you seriously suggesting that Labour turns its back on the vast majority of it's socially inclusive minded voter base...This is working well just now isn't it.

Thank god I live in a constituency that is a straight SNP / Tory fight, as I'd never vote for this Labour party.

In Scotland they belong in the SNP until Independence.
Then they can follow me and join in a left-leaning socialist party.
That's the way to go :)

The Labour Party was established as a party of the Left it was infiltrated years ago by folk who have never been remotely left wing.  There is scope for a range of political parties to cover the views and aspirations of the public; that scope may have greater effect if we had a fair voting system for Westminster.  What I find hilarious are folk complaining that a Left of centre political party is being led by people who are left of centre.

Found out last night that my mum's ESA has been stopped by the DWP because she is apparently fit for work. So it looks like I'll need to move back in with her to support her because she has about £300 in the bank and after that she has no means to feed or support herself.

So if you have had 3 brain haemorrhages, have fibromalgia, cronic fatigue, nuero fatigue, depression due to your husband dying of Motor Neurone Disease and letters from a Neurologist, two doctors and her nurse explaining why you aren't fit for work mean f**k all to these utter c***s. Doesn't matter that's she in constant pain and is bed bound almost half the week due to pain, she's fit for work.

This is exactly the kind of shite that these disabled murdering parasites get away with and people still vote Tory. I'm just glad me and my brother are around to support her, others aren't so lucky. The unlucky ones starve, the unlucky ones can't keep their medication refrigerated because they have no money to pay their electricity. The unlucky ones die humiliated and penniless all because of an utterly abhorrent, unjustifiable and targeted attack on the poorest and most vulnerable people in society.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just so tired and angry about the constant targeting of disabled people by this government, gleefully supported by people that vote for them.

Chist I'm sorry tae read that about your poor mum.
But these c**ts can still find money tae pay for Trident and keep Mrs Windsor's family in the style they're accustomed to.
Roll on Independence where hopefully we will have our priorities right.

Sickened that in this day and age, this is allowed to happen.

Hope you fight this and win, an email to your local MP may help.

Is it no longer the case that you still get support allowance while you appeal the judgement?

Been a long time since I was in that position, but the situation then was you were declared fit for work by some outside assessor, you appealed the judgement, & it would be a year if you were lucky before your appeal was assessed (which as I was merely convalescing was plenty of time to get back on my feet & into work). Obviously in this case it's merely playing for time, but at least it would mean much needed money coming in.

Whatever the case, kick up as much shit as possible - the press, the works. The only lingo the DWP understands is bad publicity when they're being c***s.

I'll definitely be appealing the decision. We've been through this before when Labour 1st introduced ATOS to do assessments for them so I know it'll be a frustrating, slow and tedious 12 months but I just need to get on with.

Since it was a doctor who did the "medical" this time, I'm seriously considering putting in a formal complaint to her work and to the GMC. I just need to wait until the DWP report and decision is sent out to us. I might contacty local mp as well to see if he can help somehow.

Same as Sweden on the map. Could do worse other than their killing fields of Malmo and numerous 'incidents' caused by foreigners w/ brown skin...

I was thinking the same but I see we're also the same colour as Belgium & Hungary - have they got heather (or foreigners wi' brown skin)?
