I'm glad she's responsible for Tennis pitches. Seems a difficult job.

Apologies. Never noticed. When Boris gets binned you'd expect whoever replaces him to get her the f**k away from any job ASAP.

Surely she's in for departures honours and will be in the Lord's for evermore.

First it was Matt Hancock claiming that dyslexia is responsible for his 'foot in mouth' calamities.

Now it's Nadine Dorries. Am I alone in finding these claims hard to believe ?

Does her dyslexia make her confuse dyslexia with stupidity?

Let's be kind here, and assume she's telling the truth about her dyslexia and the effect it has upon her life. Should that not make it even more important that she asks one of her (non-dyslexia-suffering) family staff to check this kind of stuff over before she puts it online for all to see?* That she hasn't done so simply confirms the original diagnosis of her being thicker than two short ones.

*Given her remit, you'd think she'd be more careful before committing anything to cyberspace in perpetuity. Evidently not.

I can only see Musk buying Twitter as a terrible thing

Great for political disinformation campaigns though

I may be naive here but I don't think it will change much, can't see there being anything too drastic. Wouldn't be surprised if Trump and Co were allowed back on though.

I think it's funny that Elon Musk and his fanbois try and sell him as some Tony Stark type of guy that's thinking about the bigger problems, looking to the future for the betterment of mankind when really at this point he's just utterly consumed by shitposting on Twitter.

The SNP Led Glasgow City Council deciding that they are above the law.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-61251112

Quote

Lord Ericht wrote "In this case however the respondent adopted the wholly extraordinary position that an order for specific performance should not be granted because it proposed not to comply with the court's decision and instead continue to act unlawfully."

Paints a completely different picture to the message the SNP leadership are espousing towards refugees wanting to seek to make Scotland their home.

Asides from the legal issue, I'd like to hear the occupational therapist's argument for why it would be impossible for 10 and 12 year old girls to share a room if a 5 room house was not available.

You are sounding rather Toryish here.  A professional has looked at this objectively and the Council have not only said that they can't provide suitable accommodation.  They have doubled down on the implications by taking it to the absolute extreme and never going to happen situation on using CPOs, demolishing houses and rebuilding.  If it got near that stage then it would be far easier for the council to purchase a property on the open market.

Anyway, looks like the rhetoric of a warm welcome only extends to those without specialist needs.

On this occasion, I agree with welshbairn.

Ludicrous that people fleeing for their lives can’t accept such a property.

If it’s no good to them, there’s always the option of returning to whence they came.

That comes as no surprise that your opinion is odious.  I'm sure Welshbairn will be along to confirm that you are not actuly in agreement.

If this were a local family in the same circumstances then they would be entitled to the same housing.  Recommending discrimination based on where you happened to be born isn't a good look for anyone.  In your case it probably doesn't even rank in the top 100 of your repulsive opinions.  The only thing I am surprised about is that you didn't discuss this with your wife a make a joint declaration.

Ach, he can always go back and edit his post to include her input - shouldn't be a problem, what her being imaginary and all.
