Disco Duck
Can Ian Russell not be touched without catapulting himself to the ground. Embarrassment Was Russell actually fouled for the free kick that led to Queens goal? He certainly made a meal of it.
Senor Bairn
*cough* Miles Hipolyte *cough* Not an awful lot between the teams first half, but we've struggled against big strikers all season, so it was no surprise to see the game swing Falkirks way when Miller came on, or to see us undone by two balls into the box - obviously we were a long way away but it looked like Atkinson could maybe have done better with Bairds header? Falkirk are a good side with good players. In the end, that quality told and won them the game Was annoyed at the hippos antics first half as well. Fell over because he lost the ball. Russell is on a different level however. Flinging himself about.
effeffsee_the2nd
Queens had us shut out and completely dominated the first half although they never had anything close to a shot on goal untill they actualy scored. Bringing on millar and going to 3 at the back changed the whole game and it was actualy quite entertaining after that. Well done houstie

Senor Bairn
Felt the first half was just as bad as our worst performance at st mirren away in the first half. Everyone in the south stand was calling for a second striker to come on and Houston must've clicked about 5 minutes into the second half that Miller needed to come on. Total game changer. Won everything in the air and allowed Baird and hippo the space to create chances. Don't know if it's millers age that prevents him from doing that on a regular basis or if it's just the fact he's inconsistent. Overall a good 3 points and only 2 away from the hibees
ebobsboy
We are a shadow of the side we were having lost Holt, Reilly, Carmichael, McShane and Durnan. Also Clark back to St johnstone after his loan. This season was always going to be a struggle. That said we`ve been dreadful to watch. Pretty much thought same big ask losing so many players to repeat what you did last season, not got the budget to replace them, maybe need to start getting your players on longer contracts aswell, seemed a few were only on 1yr deals. Many thought we had a decent chance of finishing 4th. Thats dropped to outside chance now, unless we can get something from Hibs and then beat Raith and Morton in our upcoming games. Most Queens fans predicted anywhere between 4th and 8th

COYB_RAB
Queens are still well in the mix for 4th......after loosing so many key players I'd say that's pretty good.
NavyBlueArmy1876
Crowd 3,945 Only 27 out, not too bad Re the game, I thought Queens were poor throughout, don't think Rogers had a single save to make. Our team selection/4-2-3-1 formation didn't work in the first half, not really sure why we set up that way in the first place. Fair play to Houstie though, took McCracken off, moved Vaulks to CH and put Sir Lee of Miller up front with Baird and go back to 4-4-2. Baird really comes alive when he has a partner up front and Miller was excellent when he came on. The result of all that was us running right over the top of Queens in the second half (rather than them just trying to defend their lead imo) and it could easily have been 5-1 at FT Hippo's cross for Baird's goal was an absolute beauty, there's definitely a player in there. I thought Taiwo was terrific when he came on, some terrific touches. Watson was very solid today and Sibbald and Alston had strong second halfs. Gutted for O'Hara slipping/missing that chance at the end, his goal will come though. Not impressed with Russell's usual antics or Higgins trying to get Miller sent off at the end. Good 3 points and performance overall, Hibs are well within our sights.

We have a chance of making the play-offs, but that's diminishing a bit. Even if we did get 4th, our prospects of then getting up would not be good at all. Just enjoy your own team's season without feeling the need to make stuff up, eh?

NavyBlueArmy1876
I'd echo BPM in that Atkinson didn't really have a chance with Baird's header. He did get a hand on it but the ball was already over the line and he could only push it in to the side net/back of the post
