SweeperDee
He probably has psychopathic tendencies. If he were able to prove he was in a state of psychosis at the time of the killing, he would have got a shorter sentence.
Hank Scorpio
He was given two psychoanalytical assessments. In the first, he was found to be insane and suffering from paranoid schizophrenia, but this was disputed, not only by other psychiatric professionals, but by Breivik himself, who stated that his actions were solely politically motivated. To you, I and 99.9% of the rest of the population of the world these actions would indicate a psychotic tendency, but other than carrying out the act he hasn't displayed any other behaviours which point to him being in any way in need of medication or therapy. Hank Scorpio
Crikey, yes. I'll write these words down on my hand for future reference I think.

Jarkko Wiss
I need to know which games console he has access to before I can decide if I feel sorry for him. Information on the list of TV channels available and whether or not the computer grants him access to a decent standard of internet pornography would also be helpful in this respect. I hope he has an Atari Jaguar or a Sega CD. A fitting punishment IMO.

Honest_Man#1
He's most definitely psychopathic with the lack of empathy and other traits, but no idea if he's psychotic as I haven't looked into it much.
hk blues
The guy probably spent a fortune on legal support - little did he know the good people of P&B were here to help, for free.
HTG
Doesn't really matter which "ps" thing he is. Top order bawbag and needs more boots in the pie rather than fewer.

djchapsticks
If he was muslim he'd be a terrorist but he's white so he's safely into psychopath territory. I don't think there's any doubt in the media that he is a terrorist even of they don't say it. I've seen and heard words like 'religious fundamentalist' and 'extremist' bandied about when they've mentioned him and his political and religious views. The 'T' word though has now been reserved purely for those of an Arab persuasion. In my opinion, the reason people like Harris and Klebold, Cho Seung-Hi and the likes are described as psychopaths and never terrorists is because they committed what they did for personal revenge for the suffering that they proclaimed to have endured rather than to further any sort of cause. Breivik is a completely different animal...not only did he live to tell of what he did but he wholly justified it and gave his political and religious reasoning for doing so. This was definitely an act of terrorism.

Seems they came to this conclusion because of his journals - but he wrote these for an audience.

topcat(The most tip top)
In general terms prison isn't really a punishment anymore, it's disgraceful, people sentenced to 14 years for murder and out in 5-7, with week long leave before they get out every couple of months, tvs and gyms, cigarettes, phone calls etc. Prison should be a punishment. When I'm in charge I'll make saying "prison isn't a real punishment" illegal and lock people up for it.

Mr Bairn
Possibly, yes. Maybe more apt to say that terrorists use bombs as their weapon of choice
welshbairn
Whether we should treat religious mania as mental illness is another question best left to godbotherers and Dawkins fans to argue about I think you can expand it to political mania, killing 69 teenagers having a picnic because they were bit lefty doesn't seem entirely sane, unless you spend your time in a shed building picture frames perhaps.
