Tom Rogic
Dundee fan on Off the Ball just referred to Mixu as a 'chubby puffin muncher'. Genuine lol. All joking aside I reckon its pretty pathetic this scenario, some people at football dish out the most vile, personal abuse at people then go running to police when the individual bites back, grow up. You're right, it was absolutely tragic for Mixu running to the police.

It was Mixu who got the police involved. There are varying levels of expectation regarding behaviour at the football. One person is in a professional capacity, representing a football club. The other is a punter. It's not difficult.
PauloPerth
it's great when a player/ manager gets involved with the crowd, it's all part of the theatre. For anyone who gets offended by it, don't go to the football... Seriously, go and find something else to do. For those who say it could incite a riot/ trouble, do we really have to restrict the entertainment on offer for the majority just to allow for the brain dead mouth breathing fuckwits who can't handle a wind up? Edited for typo
PauloPerth
Cupped ears. Acceptable. Swearing at fans as manager of a football club - minter but can't get too excited. This gesture? - ImageUploadedByPie & Bovril1458995686.745154.jpg Not acceptable for a man in such a position. Throw the book at the mad fat Finn. I think what he's saying is deal with it you pathetic little bitch. And I, for one, wholeheartedly agree.

Deefiant
I couldn't give a f**k what he's done tbh - if he dropped his 46" breeks and gave me the helicopter I'd be unmoved. rightly or wrongly we live in a sanitised world that gesture has no place in a professional environment and for someone in a position of responsibility is a minter. Thankfully not even deluded Arab bairns can hold up that fat mess as a role model surely?!
Jacksgranda
Stackable offence IMHO, throw the book at him, make sure it's a big thick hardback. Aye, make him work in Tesco.

How many professional environments do you know of where someone has to take dogs abuse for 90mins and has next to no comeback? The use of the word "professional", when it comes to football, should be limited to the fact that they get paid. Very little else about it is professional in the slightest. Right - Dundee Utd are a company/brand. He is a prominent representative of that company/brand. He's also representing Scottish football in a globally televised match. I work for a large company. I'm not a prominent representative of my company but I am a representative. If I abuse somebody, perhaps online, even if retaliated to personal abuse, but use a company email address/ username tied to a company email address or my companies name I would be sacked. Taking into account football is a specialist sector I wouldn't expect him to be sacked over it but he deserves punishment. I'd expect Dundee Utd to discipline him internally in addition to the association punishment but we all know what to expect from that particular institution by now (ref Nadir Ciftci bitegate) Thank you. I'm not suggesting that the reaction was appropriate - I was asking why you chose (and continue to choose) to compare football to a normal workplace. Football is far from a professional working environment.
