The Partick Thistle thread

Bit shite for Aberdeen fans that they've got a Monday night game away to Inverness and then a Friday night game away to us in the same week.

It'll be good for a Friday night home game that isn't a defeat to St Mirren, always enjoy the home Friday games heading straight to the pub after work.

Already confirmed are:

- Dedicated sections of the stadium where both sets of fans can mix and enjoy the game together, something not seen in most Scottish football grounds for decades.
- A mixed family section for young supporters.
- Half time entertainment featuring youth teams from both sides
- A Kingsley Vs Paisley Panda face off to see which team truly has the best mascot

Why would anyone want to sit with St Mirren fans? Apart from Dave J.

I think Stevenson is a brilliant player, he absolutely strolled some of the games in the second half of last season as part of the midfield 3. However, he's clearly an arse and there may or may not be fitness issues there too. I thought there might be a place for him in certain games in front of Osman and Bannigan but he's hardly irreplaceable, if he's a problem he can get tae.

Plastic happy clappy pish. Keep fans separate during game. Pre and post game is where the mingling with opposition fans is done and acceptable.

"Not so cuddly", but we want our fans to be all pally and cuddly with opposition during a game.

It genuinely sounds terrible although do St Johnstone not do a similar thing behind the goal (not the one we sit in) where families of both teams can sit?

As POTM alluded to, SMP is generally a pain in the arse as some people want to sit in their ticketed seat whereas others don't. I always find the allocated seating kills any atmosphere as people are dotted about the stand so I hope it's just a free-for-all.

Yeah one of our stands behind the goal is a family stand for both sets of fans. There's no real segregation, but naturally there is. It's the £15 got an adult and two kids in there. Never massively full, but it's good for the players to interact with younger fans and keep them away from the more aggressive individuals.
