Guest Bob Mahelp
Hugely disappointing if one of Scotland's best young talents is stupid enough to choose this well-worn path to utter obscurity. Even someone as totally thick as yer average Scottish footballer can look at similar examples over the last 20 years and see that a move to the festering arsehole which is Barnsley, may mean short term gain but will also mean the end of a promising career. Another year at Thistle would have done him no harm, with a possible move to the likes of Aberdeen or even Sevco at the end of it. We're so short of good centre backs in Scotland that international recognition for Lindsay couldn't be all that far away. Instead he chooses obscurity. Is he thick as shit, or just badly advised ?

Armand 2
I think the new sponsorship deal, for want of a better phrase, is a total shiter. With no offence to Just Employment Law, I would have hoped that on the back of our most successful season in recent history and continued television exposure that we would have been capable of attracting more prestigious partners. I noted that we are now advertising for a new commercial manager which I suspect is somehow related to this because not only is it a very underwhelming sponsor, it is pretty late in the day to be announcing it.
capt_oats
Apologies if this has already been addressed but if you've got a new sponsor...what happens to Kingsley?!

Pie Of The Month
I've heard it all now, Lindsay is thick or badly advised because he's not holding out for a move to Aberdeen.

Cerberus
If he works hard and stays clear of injuries then he'll do fine at Barnsley. If he signed for Sevco then he'd be dead to me.

You mean utter obscurity like Robert Snodgrass, Graham Dorrans, Ryan Fraser, Christophe Berra, Charlie Adam, David Marshall, etc.? Stop getting yer knickers in a twist just cause Fraser Fyvie turned out to be shite.
Fuctifano
I believe Kingsley belongs to the club, but aye add the sponsor to the "what a fucking uninspiring close season" pile
Cerberus
Jackson Irvine was a bit of a haddie and has made a good success out of moving to England. I think we need an exhaustive list of players who have moved to England from Scotland in the last 15 years to see if it's worthwhile for Lindsay or not.
Guest Bob Mahelp
Cheers to Whistle fans for proving the rumour true that you're all middle-class, mummy boy theology students who have no concept of real life. Anyone that thinks that a young Scottish talent moving to guff like Barnsley is a good thing, is aff their nut. Bloody students.

Barnsley are a mid-table Championship side who have a young squad and a good record of progressing and selling young players. He's far better learning there than at Sevco playing against guys like Marcus Haber.
cilitbang
Isn't taking it well that Barnsley are accepted as a bigger club and better career path than than a shitey jock team with no training ground
