R&Y99
Any word on potential loan signings coming in? McCall mentioned he wanted to add a few more faces in the loan window.
jaggymct
If the pitch needs time to recover do you think we could play some games at Scotstoun Stadium ? (no idea why QP didnt use it themselves rather than share Firhill)
lionel wickson
Hi Jags fans. Could you recommend the best place(s) to park for a midweek game at Firhill?

(no idea why QP didnt use it themselves rather than share Firhill)I could be wrong about this but I think there was something around the changing rooms being out of bounds at the beginning of the season as the guidelines for the warriors were only individuals being routinely tested were permitted in the 'red zones' and a large number of individuals wouldn't meet the strict criteria

More 'when' rather than 'were' - probably about mid June if you actually want to see a game go ahead

There's new parking restrictions for a lot of the area near Firhill now as we used to park in one of the streets off Garcube Road or Maryhill Road but some of those you need to pay for now and you're limited in how long you can stay so the streets just above Firhill are your best bet now. There’s absolutely loads of on street parking. Just avoid the residents only bits off Firhill road and you’ll be fine. I don’t drive so don’t know really, but I think Murano street is the usual shout.

As others have mentioned, Panmure Gate is usually fine on a Saturday, so would imagine midweek would be fine. Short walk down to the stadium from there.

I usually park at the end of Kelvinside Gardens, but wondered if there was something more convenient.
oneteaminglasgow
https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/sport/19908762.ian-mccall-targets-two-loan-signings-thistle-boss-discusses-firhill-pitch/ McCall says we’re after two guys in on loan. From that article and the rumours that we were looking to bring in two strikers on deadline day, I would assume that one of them is a striker and the other will be someone who can cover a variety of positions - mostly defensively. -
JagsCG
Given the number of games coming up, we're definitely a bit short on numbers (How long is Foster expected to be out for?) so be good if we could get 1/2 additions in as soon as possible. Given McCall highlights defence as an area he feels we're light, I'd guess one will be defensive signing. Fuctifano
We've got 8 defenders though one of them is Brownlie, Foster is out for a month or so and Bell is probably a last resort. When I read the interview at first I thought the specialist position was goalkeeper but as someone else said if Sneddon gets injured we'd probably get an emergency loan. I think there's an argument for another winger rather than a striker but given we were after Erwin then that seems more likely. Will we not be playing the Dundee Utd match without a sub keeper, if we don’t bring another one in before Saturday? (Due to McCready being cup-tied). May be emergency loan though.
Reid
Lost 1 game since September and somehow we’re still 5th.
I Clavdivs
Team must be gutted after that effort and scoring three…hoping for a positive reaction on Saturday against DUFC. Did Tunji get his red card overturned ?

Did Tunji get his red card overturned ? Think it was confirmed on here earlier that it hadn’t been overturned, which leaves us a bit of a problem at the back. I’d assume it’ll be a 4 of McKenna, Mayo, Holt and Hendrie, but unless someone has come back from injury we don’t have any options there to change it if someone else injured. Of course, we could have a new loanee in by then. Not really that fussed about Saturday’s game - I think we’ll lose, and if we don’t then we’ll be getting Celtic in the next round which is good for the budget but absolutely nothing else.
Fuctifano
Definitely a bit short at full back on Saturday, probably even centre back as well as Bell hasn't played in months. It's the last game for a while where we have a free midweek after so no reason not to go for it, although since it's Dundee United in the cup it'll either be a dodgy goal (2010), late sickener (2016) or both (2021) that puts us out Edited February 10, 2022 by Fuctifano

We have the options of emergency loaning a goalkeeper, loaning a goalkeeper for the entire rest of the season or sticking our under 18s goalkeeper on the bench. I don't think you can put a trialist on the bench in the Scottish Cup at this stage but haven't really had a look at the rules in great detail.
