capt_oats
Speaking of beloved former players scoring goals (as we were with Campbell the other week) there's big Cedric getting his first for West Brom. Some strike... Edited January 23, 2022 by capt_oats

YassinMoutaouakil
Anyone know the script with the latest Alan Burrows #beef on Twitter re Covid? Half the conversation is private accounts so hard to read.
Busta Nut
I saw it after the original tweet was deleted but someone had been calling out the club cos they weren't asked for vaccination proof. When he was given the facts he basically called them liars and said they could easily make up those figures.
Swello
Aye - someone was going daft because he wasn't checked - his "logic" being if he didn't see it happening, there were no checks, full stop. Flow did the old fashioned "facts" thing but the boy was having none of it. For the record, I had my vaccine passport checked outside the East Stand, so by his logic - everyone's was.
ropy
I headed in early to avoid any nonsense, everybody was being checked at that point and everyone was smiling about it, some of the old duffers had to get help finding the right page. Presumably if they checked everyone before 2:45 everyone else could just pour in, that would be about 50%.
MP_MFC
Aye they had a load of folk checking them at the east, seemed to be quite thorough with it too not just taking the QR code as proof but actually making you swipe to the international page to show you the doses.

His claim “I’m the biggest supporter of our club as you know” was a particular highlight. Him and his Mrs are founding members of our Twitter groupies. Archie McSquackle
I thought it was 50% that were supposed to be checked. Surely if you weren't checked you'd just assume others were instead (I was checked)?

Gianfranco
I’d quite like for us to be linked with a forward player. This window has been pretty boring by our standards.
capt_oats
Alexander talking transfer stuff in his press conference...interesting. Quote He explained: "We've been doing a lot of talking. I think if we can try and strengthen the squad, we will try and do that. "There's a couple parts of the team that I feel we need to strengthen. Defensively, we need to look at our pool of players and see about adding to that. "I still feel there are things to iron out and get better at. We've always got our eyes and ears open. We talk to a lot of people so that when players are available, we assess whether we can get them. "We need to look at whether they are good enough. If we have the group of players we have now, we are happy, but I think we can push this squad even by 1%. "Everyone talks about consistency at centre-back. It's fundamental to how a team plays and defends. It's been the most disrupted part of our team all season. There's been consistency in all the other positions." "We are looking longer term as well. They aren't just for now. Even though we are in January and the second part of the season to compete for, we are looking at targets for next season and beyond. "We will look at players who can go straight into the team, compete or ones we can get up to speed over the next few months. "We are looking at different profiles for players. With the injuries we have got at the minute, we are a little bit stretched. We need to make sure we have enough quality to finish this season well." Link Hmmmm.... well fan for life
I mean it's definitely a more measured approach than the Robinson 12-18 or the Baraclough throw-enough-shit-at-the-wall-and-something-will-stick.
Swello
If they are all fit, I think we have decent options in central defence, so are we to assume that Lamie and/or Bevis are out long term? Could GA be talking about full backs?
