If he screws the nut this season, he could get his big life-changer of a move. In other news, things like this scrolling past on Twitter: ...makes me ache for being at a game...

Any chance he could end up our most capped player? To add to that TeamTalk article, they've got O'Donnell's situation wrong. Quote O’Donnell, like Gallagher, is attracting a great deal of interest in England, and his exit could be somewhat easier. It’s believed O’Donnell has a break clause in his contract after joining them in the summer on a free transfer from Kilmarnock. It's not even a break. He's only contracted til January although there's an option to extend. Quote "The 28-year-old has signed on a short-term deal until the next transfer window O’Donnell’s contract has the option to extend the deal until the end of the season. He joins subject to Scottish FA clearance." Link Edited November 19, 2020 by capt_oats
gannonball
Does Gallaghers contract cover up to and including the Euros? Can remember reading Celtic got 5/6 grand per player per day they were the tournament as general compensation off FIFA for the last world cup, would imagine its not massively different for the euros.

Nice little earner though. That article says we wouldn't be keen to lose him for nothing in the summer. I really don't think we brought him in with a view to being able to sell him, just for him to do us a job in defence.

Given Clarke would rarely play the same player for 3 games in a week we could assume he and SOD may get a couple more caps. So not likely to get into double figures. And that of course assumes he will even be here. I reckon the club would take an offer of £500k+ in January. Hope it is a Premier League club as that would be a snip for them. Still it is only paper talk so who knows. Hopefully he kicks on with us as there may well b a few scouts coming to watch Deccy next few weeks.
ropy
500k plus a sell on for when a Champioship team pays £5-10M for an ex-Premier League defender.

Agreed, however that fear has nothing on a Lamie - Mugabi partnership Hopefully by that point, Carroll is back at left-back and McGinley has moved in one. I think I'd probably say that Mugabi was "decent" before his injury. Much better than what we were used to from him, but still a far cry from an in-from Aldred, Hutchinson or Gallagher.

Mugabi's improvement in form coincided with a couple of things: 1. We put him in the middle of a back 3 so there was less requirement for him to play football outside of heidering/booting the ball to f**k. 2. He was playing next to Lamie who would make Louis Laing look like a total competent centre half.
