AdamMFC
Good to see us face some different sides for once. Hoping for Montrose to be away, not midweek though!
Phillips455
So, what happens if Edinburgh City cease operations? Wasn't their talk of them potentially liquidating since they haven't been paying their players/staff?

Fairly certain it means we win the League Cup.

Busta Nut
When are the dates decided? ETA: I know it says "shortly" but is that like the day? or this week? I canny mind how quickly they do these things. Edited May 29 by Busta Nut
Phillips455
Going by how yhe fixtures worked last season, we play 2nd and 4th seeds at home, and the 3rd and 5th seeds away. So Home to Partick Thistle and Edinburgh City Away to Montrose and Clyde. They will probably be looking for TV fixtures and the Motherwell vs Partick might be one they would choose.

Looked this up - apparently we've only played Montrose 8 times, only 2 of those in the league and the last time was 1971/72 in the cup.

capt_oats
Scott Burns pouring a bit of cold water on the Dylan Easton chat to some oddball reply guy. I mean, did that whole rumour not just start on here when someone mentioned we apparently had a PCA lined up from the Rovers and Motherwell Twitter has just run with Easton's name because Spittal is moving and they play in vaguely the same area of the park? crazylegsjoe_mfc
It's a weird one with Oxborough. He's 26 and has played 44 league games his entire career. He's probably not played enough games because he's inexperienced and he's inexperienced because he's not played enough games. Regardless of whether he's number one or two next season, I can't fathom not giving him even the last game of the season. If he was to be number one, we would need an experienced number two. Then I would be sceptical about the credentials of a number two coming in who was willing to wait for their chance. Going down the line of having two similar level goalies (Hollis & Nielsen, Twardzik & Nielsen, Samson & Brill) hasn't particularly worked for us in the past. But on the flip side Aaron Chapman is testament to a big drop off between #1 and #2 not being great either. I guess we'll find out by what number is on his trackie top in a couple of weeks. MurrayWell
Easton is one of those where I reckon he'd be good to have as an option. I'm not sure I'd be that bothered if we didn't sign him. Good player for sure, but not a guaranteed starter. I sometimes get the vibe the "oddball reply guys" (enjoyed that btw @capt_oats) just get buzzing or overly excited about the most vague rumours, or any chat of links. Automatic stance is that if someone said they are signing for us, then it must be true and they must be an amazing player. Bizarre.

Doesn't sound like a real Kettlewell response tbh. Fake news.

Even that game recently where he did the overlapping centre half thing KT does for Scotland was some laugh.
