AUFC90
Yes, but that doesn’t make him mandatory.I know. Thought he was mandatory after he beat Parker. Oh well. I wonder if Fury will turn out to be his last dangerous opponent.
AUFC90
Whyte turned down a WBC eliminator (against Ortiz) and refused to go to Bulgaria for an IBF eliminator against Pulev (a result of Hearn losing the purse bid). He said he turned it down to fight a ‘people’s eliminator’ against Parker, or something along those lines. He’s also turned down a shot at Joshua. Whyte has a good resume and deserves a shot at a title but the reason he hasn’t had one is entirely down to him.Fair enough.

PPV star nowadays, thinks he's the truth. -
J_Stewart
Next Gen card was decent entertainment, Jordan Gill was certainly impressive. Could watch documentaries on Sugar Ray Leonard all day. What a fighter.

Fowler v Fitzpatrick should be a very good fight, don’t think there’s much between them. Is this on tonight?

Whyte says WBC and Wilder are giving Breazeale the fight (against Wilder) in return for Breazeale dropping charges against Wilder and his brother over a rammy a year or so back. Whyte says he’d already agreed the fight with Breazeale to decide who became Wilder’s mandatory and that as Breazeale Is effectively pulling out to fight Wilder that he (Whyte) will then become the WBC mandatory. Joe Joyce announced to fight on Wilder undercard on 18th May. Don’t think Wilder has actually announced he’s fighting on 18th May!

JamieStevenson
Just caught up with the Ortiz vs Hammer fight. Ortiz looked great, would love to see him get another shot at Wilder.

He did get belted a few times too. If he was stood still like that, rubbing his hurt nose against Wilder he'd get his head panned in. 39 though? Really? Not sure he quite has the physicality to trouble the top few guys plus he gets hit and wobbled too easily. Good boxer though. Would just seem a bit cruel seeing him geting KO'd by someone less skilled but much younger and stronger - eg Whyte.

There's no question he's talented and so much slicker than the robotic big lumps - he caught the lad at the weekend with the sort of quick uppercut you'd expect from a much younger, lighter figher) - but I just worry that he's a bit too decrepit to really hack it against the best guys who are not necessarily more talented but 10 years younger, fitter and stronger and don't have high blood pressure.
Neilly
Ortiz beats Whyte even at his current age of 64.
Shandon Par
Frank Bruno sounds in a bad way - in hospital with pneumonia. Heard him calling out Tyson Fury recently for a 6 rounder recently. Still looks younger and fitter than Ortiz! Barancyk's team saying the other day he's 100% not fighting Taylor in Glasgow and the guy who said he was got it wrong and had no business talking to the media etc.

Heard him on a couple of podcasts recently and seems a really cool guy. Hopefully fit enough to fight it off. I’m really humming and hawing about the Taylor fight. Shouldn’t go, but really want to if it’s going to be a top level fight.

Shandon Par
Kalle said on 25th Feb that tickets would go on sale in next 10 days. Barancyk not coming so do they have the Inoue fight under the fancy WBSS lights and then a Taylor exhibition and a bye into the final? Bit of a mess. Maurice hooker fights this weekend. Think he's under DAZN/Hearn etc now. It's a lot of ifs and maybes but Hearn talked about picking up Taylor if it was for a title fight. If WBSS doesn't happen in Glasgow then Hooker v Taylor 1st June at MSG ticks a lot of boxes in terms of a title fight (WBO Light welter) for Taylor, the US v UK card they're aiming for and timing seems okay.
