Shandon Par
Takam is a perfect introduction to HW for Usyk. Tough but not too big. Don’t think he has vacated his Cruiserweight belts yet. Probably as he’s on matchroom and he’d become AJ’s mandatory. Taylor’s trainer says he has been told Barancyk will be stripped of his belt if he doesn’t take the fight.
IrishBhoy
Taylor saying in an interview he’s 90% sure he’s facing Baranchyk but I’m sceptical. Was planning on getting VIP tickets for my friends 30th but WBSS don’t seem to offer VIP and f**k paying 300 odd quid just for a ringside seat. Got VIP at Taylor’s last fight and it was quite good. Free bar in a venue across from the Hydro then taken into one of the lounges. Only downside was you couldn’t take a pint to your seat. Neilly
Apparently the IBF have mandated the fight so if Baranchyk doesn't appear it will at least be for the belt.

Detournement
Bob Arum on the Crolla fight Quote “The fight got shoved up our ass, with the mandatory, and thanks to our friend, Eddie Hearn, who thought he’d go to purse bid and have Lomachenko fight at least one time on DAZN,” Arum told BoxingScene.com, referring to Crolla’s promoter and the streaming serving with which Hearn works. “We disabused him because we told him that would be the start of a war that they couldn’t win [with ESPN]. And sanity prevailed. We overpaid for Crolla, and that’s what you’re gonna see on Friday night. “That being said, Crolla, while not the most seasoned guy, is a tough Englishman who was a world champion. And he’s gonna try his ass off to win. It should be an enjoyable fight. But it’s certainly not the fight, given our druthers, that we would’ve made.” The only way Lomachenko could’ve avoided the Crolla fight would’ve been to give up the WBA lightweight title he won by knocking out Jorge Linares in the 10th round last May 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York. The two-time Olympic gold medalist is adamant about attempting to win all of boxing’s recognized lightweight titles, thus Arum didn’t even try to persuade the three-division champion to vacate that title. “You’ve gotta understand that my guy Lomachenko is an eastern European,” Arum said. “They love to pile up titles, they love to unify and they don’t like to give up belts. There was no chance I could convince him to walk away.”

IrishBhoy
From a very good source Taylor will be fighting Postol (WBSS reserve) and Burns is fighting Selby in IBF eliminator.

JamieStevenson
That was genuinely very sad to watch. Hope Crolla got paid well for that. That's got to put him on the verge of retirement. Not Loma's fault his initial opponent pulled out obviously but that was lamb to the slaughter stuff there. Mismatches in Boxing can get a little uncomfortable sometimes.
kiddy
Ramirez apparently weighed 196 getting in the ring with Karpency! Scheduled LH at 175. No chance of him meeting Smith at SM IMO. #shatit.
MONKMAN
This is a seriously bad night for Crolla. Really? He did better than I expected. As for the fight, Lomachenko is just outstanding. The guys feet move quicker than some fighters can throw a punch! Ref must have had a bit of cash on a 4th round stoppage, with that standing count in the 3rd. Fight should have been stopped there and then.
Shandon Par
Love how Loma just picks through the tight guard with clever angles yet still lands the jabs so heavily. Must be utterly brutal for guys in with him as there’s nowhere to hide or get a breather.

He was a master at closing off escape routes and the distance always being exactly what he wanted it to be. Guys would try to run and he would already be there to cut you off. He seems to have become a headhunter nowadays though. But aye Lomas feet and head movement are almost surreal. Hes like a fucking ferret scuttling about, in the pocket the whole time but you cant hit him. Its like he is seeing the fight pan out in some sort of matrix fashion.

He got properly belted in his last fight and you can see he has vulnerabilities... but I just can’t see anyone around his weight who could really punish him. Total joy to watch anyway.
quickoverayard
Ive not seen the fight yet but I'll fire it on the night. You think he will fight tank?
Shandon Par
He says he wants to face Luke Campbell next and fancies fighting in the UK. Broke his hand knocking out Crolla.
JamieStevenson
That all depends on Luke Campbell somehow getting past Mikey Garcia though right? Thought the whole point was Loma wanting the WBC belt.
