The Woolshed
I fucking love us. Yesterday was so comfortable and given the budgets it should never be that easy. Big Tommy [emoji170][emoji7]

PauloPerth
What is our longest ever run of matches unbeaten in the top flight? We've equalled the 5 wins in a row record, and beaten the consecutive clean sheet record, so just wondering if the current run of 8 matches unbeaten is close to the best in our history?

The record for games unbeaten is seemingly 16, back in 86/87, between October and January. Lost October 4th, 3-0 at home to Stranraer, then 16 games (10 wins, 6 draws) until a 4-3 defeat away to Cowdenbeath on February 3rd. Just seen you were on about top flight, I imagine you'd have to go season by season as it won't be highlighted in any record book. Vague memory of a decent unbeaten run under McIness but that was maybe just a home record? Lomas' best run was 7, Wright went 8 in 14/15, between 25th October and 27th December. Can't see anything higher than 8 since we came back up, anything before that is for those older and more knowledgeable than me to figure out. Just looking back, that run in 2014-15 was immediately on the back of 5 consecutive defeats. We then went a run of 6 wins and 2 draws. I'd forgotten how good a run we'd put together there. Similarities with this season where we lost 3 consecutive league games, then started the current great run. Interesting to hear Tommy talking in that interview on alba at half time v Hearts, he said that finishing 4th the season after the cup win is his personal second best achievement at Saints after winning the Cup. He mentioned the fact that we only scored 34 goals made it even more satisfying to finish so high up the table. Looking at the final table, 4th place on 57 points with a goal difference of 0.

It's 9 games and we've done it 3 times, once in the thirties, again in the sixties then, bizarrely, over two seasons under McClelland when 8 of the 9 matches were drawn! Top Flight Records Consecutive wins: 5 (6 occasions) Consecutive home wins: 10 (17/10/34 to 27/10/34) Consecutive away wins: 5 (03/10/15 to 05/12/15) Games unbeaten: 9 (3 occasions) Home games unbeaten: 14 (2 occasions) Away games unbeaten: 9 (27/02/93 to 11/09/93) Consecutive clean sheets: 6 (20/10/18 to 24/11/18) Consecutive home clean sheets: 6 (02/01/11 to 02/03/11) Consecutive away clean sheets: 6 (07/05/11 to 17/09/11) The records under threat are away wins (currently on 4), games unbeaten (currently on 8 games) and away clean sheets (currently on 4). RandomGuy.
Decided to see how we actually stand in Scottish football after some inspiring chat elsewhere. Transfermarkt allows you to enter a custom table. Not as good as the much missed statto.com, which let you choose dates, but there you go. I believe this is the table since we got promoted.. What a team. Edited December 9, 2018 by RandomGuy.

Chewing Taffies
European trips to diddy places are for diddy teams lads. The mighty Dees have mixed with Europes elite. Something you can only do by winning a proper title. Something you can only dream of.
