RandomGuy.
Trying to compare Melamed to the other strikers over the "last calender year". He generally performs, or outperforms, his xG. In other words, create chances and he'll score them. Edited October 4, 2020 by RandomGuy.

Just signed a new striker, got rid of our weakest player, one more signing to come, held Celtic to 0-0 until the 90th minute and only four points off fifth place..What a great day so far.

Center half
1 hour ago, RandomGuy. said: They got 6 month deals, so they run until January. Duffy signed a 2 year deal when he signed last Summer, so his deal was due to run until next Summer. Presumably we've allowed him out that deal so he can join ICT. okay i thought they signed the 6 month contract in May when i assumed their old contract would run out !

You're maybe right tbh, I just always assumed the 6 months was until the January window. I'm sure they signed it at the end of May? So you're talking 6 months starting on June 1st.
nelsjfc
Assuming we sign this super star this weekend, I'd make the United game on the 24th the first he'll be available for. Unless he's been here for a few days already.

Played for an Israeli team but if he has spent quarantine in a country that Scottish government considers safe then he would not need to quarantine again. Cannot see Saints bringing him to the ground if within a quarantine timescale.
RandomGuy.
Hes definitely not a "target man" in the sense I imagine most folk have been talking about wanting, FWIW.
shibbydoo
Hopefully a good signing but I thought we were looking for someone who could compete with the CBs with cross balls. This guy is 5ft 8in. Maybe ive got the wrong end of the stick though on requirements

I don't think many, if any on here were looking for a target man in the traditional sense...We have had enough bad experiences in signing Big Haddies over the years

tree house tam
When was the last truly successful target man we had at Saints? Roddy?

The Marly
I'd class Macca as a target man in the sense that if you got the ball to him it would stick. A target man doesn't just win headers.

Mr Positive, sometimes.
The lateness of the movement does us. Kane, May & Hendry take note. Especially Kane as (IMO) doesn't do enough to make himself difficult to pick up.
