SaintDougie
Brian Easton been writing his own Wiki pages I see... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Easton_(footballer) Personal Life[edit] Easton is highly regarded as an up and coming country/ acoustic guitarist on the Glasgow music scene. His picking style and wizard like fingers have earned him the nickname "Southside Bingham" after notable Americana artist/musician Ryan Bingham. He is also considered one of the most eligible bachelors in Glasgow's Strathbungo district.
pittsburgh phil
Maskrey was my hero growing up. Met him once as an adult, really nice guy.

The greatest footballer there's ever been. The first game of the last season at Muirton Park we played Raith Rovers at home. He picked up the ball at about half way and dribbled round the entire Rovers team and slotted it home. The best goal I've ever seen live. Such a shame there were no tv cameras there. I remember once the cheering and celebrating had died down, everyone in the ground just stood clapping for a few minutes, long after the game had restarted. It was like the end of a show or opera (I imagine!) instead of a football match, surreal but magic. Then in January at home to Clydebank Zorro scored one very similar and almost as good, as well as a great volley in a 2-0 or 2-1 win. He was brilliant that season, and If hadn't been for hatchet man Bobby Glennie nailing him at Starks Park on a midweek night, he'd have been fit for the first Scottish Cup semi-final v Rangers, and we'd have beaten them that day.
pittsburgh phil
Absolutely thrilling just watching him roll the sleeves up, take the ball off a defender then get running at some hapless player. That goal vs Raith was incredible.
pittsburgh phil
Also, when Maskrey and Moore were on it they must have given managers and defenders nightmares for days. Fast and skillfull. Stick big Roddy in the middle and that's quite the forward line!I met Neil Alexander in a nightclub once and he said Roddy Grant was his worst player to play against. In very colourful language.
7-2
I always thought O'Boyle was a bit overrated, mainly due to his first touch frequently being a pass. Paul Wright is McDiarmid's best striker imho.

Stood behind the goal on the terracing listening to the abuse georgie boy was taking, didn't get any better as they went 2-0 up. He then turns it on and scores 2 goals and we're going mental in the home end, got spat on , punched and kicked, gave as good as we got tbf, eventually got a polis escort out, for the Dunfermline fans safety obviously. That was the day i fell in love with wee George
Old Pack
Maskreys goal at Brockville when he went on a mazy run and beat about 6 of them took a bit of beating.
Bonksy+HisChristianParade
I was born in 92 so have very hazy memories of a lot of the boys being mentioned sadly. TRS used to absolutely love Kieran McAnespie and Keigan Parker as a Super J though.
pittsburgh phil
Also remember that game against Dunfermline..me and my mate went to McDonalds before we headed down, to find O'Boyle stuffing his face. Assumed he was injured and wouldn't be playing.Imagine my surprise when he started, followed by my delight when he rattled in a brace.Pelted with coins too as I remember, when DAFC had that rage in a cage thing going on.
pittsburgh phil
Also, sure I still have old compilations of Scotsport (though nothing to play them on!) where Paul Wright did a perfect one touch lob over John Martin against Airdrie. One of the finest goals I've ever seen in the flesh. One of those ones as soon as he hit it he was away wheeling off celebrating. Didn't even watch it hitting the net.
PauloPerth
I had a memory of Paul Wright scoring a cracking overhead kick at McD against Motherwell. I thought we'd beat them 5-0 but must be getting confused.. When I searched for St Johnstone 5 Motherwell 0 I did find this little gem where O'Boyle scored a couple, with him and Kernaghan both scoring screamers.

I remeber this game for the 1 fan down the aisle who didnt celebrate the 5th as he had an O'Boyle, 4-0 scorecast. I'm sure this is the same season we won 2-0 at Fir Park in the SC quarters that Well fans think is one of their worst ever results!

Not much of a game as I remember, tense and hard fought. Huge Saints crowd through as well.
jamamafegan
When are the tickets for the Hearts game on sale? As far as I can see there is no information on the website about it and I’ve just had a wasted journey to McDiarmid. There’s only a week to go until the game. Shambles.

They are already on sale, I secured my briefs yesterday. Did anyone/everyone that bought Hearts/Celtic/Rangers tickets from the office have to fill out a form? They even take a note of the seats they've sold you.
Bonksy+HisChristianParade
I just had a look on the website and the ticket office is only open Mon-Fri, 9:30-5. Well that’s handy.

Is it as many tickets as you want, or limited number per person?
