The juniors would've developed him physically and he'd be a lot more street wise now so it's highly possible he's benefitted from the experience. If he was playing for you in league 1 when Cowden were on the slide maybe he wasn't Learning anything from his peers and lost confidence? He's deffo worthy of being a squad player for us and with some decent turns he could cement one of the centre back spots
cowdenbeath
With Chris McKee joining Shire is John Dunn now the last man standing from the Lowland League title winning squad?

He's deffo worthy of being a squad player for us and with some decent turns he could cement one of the centre back spots That could be the case I remember Darren McGregor was always getting sent off for us and Mixu freed him and he spent 2 years at Arniston and came back a better player and the rest is history as they say. Our season in L1 we were doing alright going into the New Year but lost Andy Murdoch and Gordon Smith and ended up slipping into the play off by just a point no one has got 39 points and went down since it really was a fine margin in the 2nd last game against Stenny a draw that day would have seen us stay up, it was certainly better than the last 2 seasons Edited June 21, 2018 by cowdenbeath
airdrieman
Can't add too much more to what has already been said but Balatoni is an absolutely superb signing. Only played a couple of trial games for Airdrie but the difference in the defence when he was in the side was night and day. A genuine leader who can organise a defence and talk and lead them through a game. Strong and will win everything in the air. Surprised he's ended up at this level TBH but fair play for getting him signed up (and on a 2 year deal too).
DeeBairn
Are you guys taking Scot Shepherd back this season? Balatoni will rock it in League 2.

That's true Forfar must have got the worst draw of the lot away to Livi Colts When we played Celtic a few years back we actually got not too bad a crowd 449.
Chris_the_rover
Seems we now meet at your ground twice in the space of 10 days.I see Annan have drawn Celtic colts for 3rd year in a row
Tenkay
At least it's a home game for a change! Probably winnable. The last two years, away to premier league colt teams that are hungry to prove themselves has been difficult. We usually haven't been ready for the start of the season previously, but seem a lot more organised this year!
Guest Landan Spiv
Anyone know the final score of our friendly earlier? We left at 3-0 to City. Laird looked superb, Donaldson done Donaldson moments but played well, Allan Smith got two and Blair scored a penalty. Left about 10 minutes before the end

Chris Mitchell pulled one back in 82 minutes, Graham Taylor got the fourth in 86 minutes with a superb close-range side-foot after a nice cross from number 27 (still to be identified).

Cheers Scrooge. Decent performance last night. Looked comfortable all game. Numbers 23 and 27 we didn't recognise at all. I take it Kennedy, Shaw, Burns and Tenant are from the Under 20s? Heard of Luke Kennedy before but not the others.
DutchBorderer
In case anyone's already a fan of Kieran Stewart, Berwick is selling his matchworn shirt on the club shop. Might be worth a punt if you like these kinds of memorabilia; http://store.berwickrangers.com/products/match-worn-kit Fair play to the SC fella livetweeting the game yesterday, shame he left early.

Was gutted I had to leave early but had to get that 21.33 train back. Unfortunately my pal who also has the twitter login had to leave as well so there was no one to carry on the updates for the last ten minutes. I'll be doing a live feed from the game against Whitehill Welfare tomorrow. Ill stay until the end this time haha

Always a bit of a guess who is doing the tweeting, but good work all the same.
