I think he’s just a player that doesn’t really fit Beale’s style. He wants a forward more involved in play, a bit deeper. Rangers/Celtic players will always be down on that stuff anyway but Ryan Jacks had great figures within the last 5 years which makes it even worse for Cantwell in comparison. I genuinely think we’d have gotten fairly close to that if we’d cashed in on him last summer at the same time we sold Bassey. Maybe ~£15m or so. He was pivotal in our run to the EL final.
