There should be a specific award for that kind of achievement. Perhaps a handshake and a plaque will suffice.

The benefit of Rangers’ European exploits to Scottish football has been laid bare with the Ibrox club among the top 10 highest scoring clubs in Europe in terms of UEFA coefficient points. The Gers made it all the way to the Europa League final in Seville last year, narrowly losing out to Eintracht Frankfurt on penalties. That went a long way to boosting Scotland’s ranking on the continent, but the Light Blues’ consistency over the last five years sees them ranked among some of the biggest names in the game when it comes to racking up the numbers. Congratulations. Do they give out medals for that? You know, like the ones Celtic pick up every year or the ones Frankfurt got in Seville last year?

Particularly when you consider we have vastly outperformed you over the period specified in that article. bennett
Dujon Sterling has joined Michael Beale's big summer Rangers rebuild after agreeing a deal to move to Ibrox, following the arrival of Kieran Dowell. Beale promised supporters more signing news and the club has now confirmed former Chelsea full back Sterling has joined the club. The 23-year-old star is predominantly a right back and can challenge skipper James Tavernier for a place in the Rangers XI, however, he is versatile and can also play as a left back or in a three-man central defence. QPR were linked with him when Beale was in charge at Loftus Road last season

Nobody claimed that our strong performance in Europe translated into trophies or medals. You are arguing against a point that hasn’t been made. It was fairly evident that the comment from GS was made in an attempt to imply that our European exploits are meaningless without a medal to show for it. Does that mean Celtic’s European exploits are less than meaningless? Edited May 30, 2023 by AJF

Savage Henry
Whatever happened to the Polish guy who was supposed to challenge Tavernier? Seems to me Rangers are replacing old bit part players with younger, not necessarily better, English Championship bit part players, and the fans are falling for as laying the groundwork for big names.

This parrot set the world record for opening the most number of cans in one minute in 2012. Sounds impossible but, Zac the Macaw surely proves that it’s possible. He set the world record for opening the most number of cans in one minute in San Jose, in 2012. He managed to open 35 cans, which is quite commendable

He was shipped out on loan but failed to make an appearance I believe. Clearly isn’t going to be the standard to challenge Tav. Not many fans know much about Sterling or Dowell (myself included) so it’s always a concern that unknown quantity is going to falter. As you allude to, we really need to hope that a bit of money is spent on quality. Saying that, the money we have spent thus far under Beale on Raskin and Cantwell look like rather shrewd investments for very little outlay already at this early stage.
