craigkillie
His dig at BT Sport lacked class I thought. He was right though. Scottish football was incredibly low priority for BT Sport and their national coverage and adverts produced by their London HQ reflected that. The fact that Sunset & Vine produced consistently excellent coverage on their meagre budget is a separate issue but doesn't change his overall point.

He's been told to say that by Celtic snd Rangers. 3. The SPFL can't afford it. Celtic, Rangers and SKY could help, but see point 1.

NorthBank
There was an article in the Scotsman the other day when Cockwoble was saying that fan owned Clubs were not a good move and that 'rich benefactors' were the preferred option in times of crisis. Fan owned Clubs than have gone into Administration in Scotland. Zero. No-fan owned Clubs that have gone into administration (in recent years only): Queens Park, Morton, Clydebank, Airdrie, Motherwell, Dundee, Livingston, Gretna, Dundee (again), Rangers, Dunfermline and Hearts. Plenty of evidence to support your theory there Cockwomble. Dick.

If he means a time of crisis like now have the likes of Aberdeen with their 2 million cash injection from the owners just proved his point. How long would it have taken for a fan group to raise that level of funds? In normal time however fan ownership should protect the game in Scotland and its impossible to make any money from it and most who get involved do it for the love of their team.

And this has not run its course. If this continues until next year will 'rich' owners of clubs still pour in money when their own businesses are going to the wall?St Mirren do not and never had a rich benefactor. We have a policy of living within our means and having reserves in the bank for a rainy day and in life there are always rainy days. We have 1200 supporters paying £12 a month into a fund to buy the Club which can help keep us afloat. We are currently paying full wages to all staff until the end of the season from reserves.History shows rich benefactors either get bored or die. One way or another the cash that a club depended on dries up invariably with the club entering administration as the list above clearly demonstrates. Good luck to Aberdeen getting £2m. Hopefully their benefactor lives a long life, doesn't get bored or runs out of cash (even Romanov who owned banks is now skint). But fans will always be there to keep their clubs going when they feel part of the Club. A healthier model in my opinion and one that history supports.

Thats a fair effort and the club will appreciate the 14.4k per month. St Johnstone have been fan owned since 1986 and the Brown's have made sure everyone on the board is also a Saints fan. We are in the fortunate position of the having 7 figure reserves mainly generated by the stadium its self (around 80K per month). When the Chairman sells up we have no guarantee this will be the case going forward.
Ray Patterson
Can I say something rather controversial? I think Neil Doncaster has came across rather well recently. His crisis management during the lockdown has been pretty competent. -

Wee-Bey
Doncaster wants Hearts relegated, he wants to induce incredible amounts of seethe among Rangers and Falkirk fans and ensure that Celtic will forever be reminded that this was an asterisk title and they only won 8 and a half in a row. Doncaster must be protected at all costs.
