KJT should consider a change of event perhaps...

She has taken part in the long jump at a few events, but as you say she holds the British record for high jump and obviously has a talent for it. Given how impressive the Belgian girl was in the heptathlon maybe she should specialise.

Lynsey Sharp's interview is almost as uncomfortable as that with Mohammed last night.

Not her finest hour that interview tbh. I can understand her frustration that no matter how hard she (or any of the others for that matter) train they still won't get near the strength that Semenya has due to her heightened testosterone levels. Fact is though that she ran a PB and a Scottish record which was only good enough for 6th, so imo she came across as very bitter, when the situation is a very complicated one and in no way Semenya's fault.

She should have been proud of her run, to be honest I don't really like the fact that they shove a mic at somebody after they lose as there is always the chance somebody will say something in the heat of the moment. Although tbf Rooney's "I ran like a dick" comment was superb last week.

Didn't a few athletes take part in both heptathlon and an individual event? I'm thinking maybe Kluft in the long jump? Maybe KJT could do the same with the high jump.

Certainly one for her to ponder. She was probably thinking that Ennis will retire soon giving her a better chance of winning, only for the Belgian girl to turn up and blow everyone away. I know conditions were different last night but she could have been among the medals in the high jump.

I thought she was disgraceful with her comments, thought the Radcliffe was aswell in trying to defend that. I do agree though they shouldnt be thrusting mics in their face straight after races.

The line of questioning didn't help either to be fair, thought Phil Jones was very poor.

Yeah I think it was Radcliffe who said that it was unfair of Phil Jones to ask those questions immediately afterwards and I have to agree. It's an incredibly complex situation and it's no ones fault, but whatever decision they make next year, it won't please everyone.

Can we just agree that Michael Johnson is a far greater pundit than Lewis, Radcliffe and Jackson combined?

I don't know how or why MJ ended up on the BBC rather than a Yank channel, but he has been their best pundit for years.

I've always wondered about that.
Even during the commonwealth games he was head and shoulders above every one else.

I get the feeling she's not the brightest... remember this one? http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/scots-athlete-lynsey-sharp-says-6057373

Can anyone who takes an interest in these things explain why Farah "has questions to answer" regarding testing?

Maybe due to this - http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/other-sports/athletics/olympic-hero-mo-farahs-tv-6414617

Not quite sure what I'm going to do with myself now tbh, I've spent the past 2 weeks in constant Olympic mode!

Does anyone have any particular highlights? From a British perspective, it's got to be beating the Dutch on penalties in the hockey final. Outside of Britain, probably Thiago winning the pole vault for Brazil since it wasn't in any way expected and the crowd went pretty nuts. Oh, and of course coming SECOND in the medal table!

Does Tom English hate the Olympics? I keep seeing his tweets being retweeted and they are constantly critical of Team GB and investment etc in the Olympics.

He seems doubtful of the value for money we get with each medal costing £5million.
Sport Englands figures show a drop in sport participation since London.
