The days when you could buy a game for £2.99 from John Menzies. After my Commodore 64 I moved onto an Amiga 1200 and would go to The Barras once a month to pick up copied games for a few quid at a time. Probably paid a bit more for Theme Park since it came in about twenty disks.

 I remember my mate had a Commodore 64 and we sat with the latest PC magazine giving you the complete code for "caterpillar" and spent hours and hours programming the game in only to have to recheck the code for errors and when it did work the b*****ds never allowed you to save the program to a cassette tape. f**k me we were so angry.

We went there to get our Atari ST 520 (0.5 MB of RAM) upgraded to a a massive 1MB.

Never saw someone happier than when my Dad found Auto-Cad in the menu at the stall, which came on a similar amount of disks as Theme Park.

"Saved myself thousands, son" said my Dad, beaming all the way home.
