Late 80s? Radio Forth? Sunday nights were spent falling into slumber to the dulcet tones of Hazel Fowlie.

I had a Panasonic radio separate in my Hi Fi and the massive radio antenna across the bedroom wall and was joined up with a huge boom Ariel. After much fiddling around I managed to pick up Radio Forth clearly from Pollok? Radio Forth at that time played far better music than Radio Clyde at the weekends and I wanted to record them to play later. I also done a phone in to Radio Forth because I knew the answer and was told over the radio whilst it was feeding back worse than usual with the distance to turn the radio down and then quite politely told I couldn't win because I didn't live on the fucking Forth area? Although I did become a topic for a while on the show at the weekends because they were being listened in Glasgow and that Radio Forth had the better tunes..

Think Radio Tay shared the airwaves with a few other Scottish stations on the late Sat/early Sun slot.

KnightswoodBear
On the topic of cars, I was watching X Men Days of Future Past tonight and there's a bit in Paris in the 70's and a load of dignitaries rock up in these absolutely gorgeous Citroen DS's It reminded me of my mums old boss who used to come to the house sometimes in his sky blue one. One of the most beautiful cars ever made. Incidentally, when he was a youngster at the clothing firm he worked for he was sent out to Germany to tender for the Nazi officers uniforms and attended one of the rallies at Nuremberg. On their return they politely withdrew their offer.

A while back there was a garage under a railway bridge at Waterloo fixing up 1940/50's Citroens, except they went against the purist's rules and put modern technology in. I think you could get one for about 10 grand.
